Poll: Would/have you stolen from someone in your family??

When I was five, but I was dumb then.

And i stole about Twenty Bucks from my mother, but she was drunk and forgot she was supposed to write me a check for lunch money.

I stole 10 bucks from my brother's stash once (In the sock drawer, he wasn't very good at hiding stuff). I don't think I even needed it, I was going through my thieving bastard phase. Used to steal candy from the sunday school rooms at church, too. I'm so going to hell.

I steal food, like the last slice of cheesecake. And unattended sodas are assumed to be mine. Also money on the floor is mine too.

When i was little I used to steal a lot. I'd steal stuff from my parents for no real reason. But, They set me straight one day and I've never stolen since. I was only 6 when I did this, so I dunno if it counts. I would never steal from anyone in my family now.

I once stole 3 quarters from my moms car to get a sprite.

I will immediately take any money in bills smaller than 20s found lying around. But that is because I am the only one in the house who uses cash so I know it is mine.

And, in an unrelated note, I answered the poll as saying that I never steal, but reading some of these has made me realize my definition of stealing is very loose, and that I actually do "steal" some stuff. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I not the pillar of virtue I thought I was?

I have stolen several thousand dollars worth of money and stuff throughout my life but never from my family.

I didn't do it for any sort of habit though, I did it because i could.

Yes, I have. At least I think I have, I can't remember a specific instance, but it seems logical. My parents probably didn't deserve the things I took anyway, and would have used them for worse things than me. That of course doesn't make it right, and maybe I don't deserve it either, but then again, I could have done worse for the emotional abuse I've sustained under their care.

Well, I've takes some money I see lying around sometimes, luckily, we are 4 (All minor) kids in the family, so they cant pinpoint anyone.

It's just, when you have a large jar of change lying around... and it is impossible to notice if some go missing... and you have a sugar/coke addiction (No kidding, I get a kind of withdrawal) and no money... You see were this is heading. Not that I "steal" a lot though.

Now heres the "fun" part, those time I "stole", I am the last one to leave because my school starts late, It could take me 15 minutes or so for me to decide if its worth it or not. Factoring in stuff and thinking... now that is stupid.

Then I usually decide "It's not worth risking it", then when I am to leave, I just think, "Oh, **** it" and go take what I need anyway... Makes me feel even more stupid.
