yeah, then I could forget about all my irrational fears like zombies and my new one the slender man
Slender man?
Near as I can tell he is a mythical boogey man created on some forum some where. He's tall, white, wears a suit and is spotted in deserted places, it seems he preys on children, and he has stretching abilities like Mr.Fantastic. Google it, just punch in The slender man. Fuck zombies, this whole idea is creeping me out.
Ah yes, I remember seeing a thread about Slender man hear a while back. While it does seem creepy, I actually fear This Man more. His face creeps me out.

Hi I'm Tom! Would you even know that you had no memory? Hi I'm Tom! Would it be like a cutoff from a certain...Hi I'm Tom!

Seriously though, if you had no memory at all, then everyday you would wake up like a newborn child, unable to do anything or have any idea about what is going on around you.

If say, when I wake up I only remember things from before a given point, a la 50 First Dates, then that would be weird, it might be doable but one day you're going to wake up and see "1 Year after Michael Jacksons death" on the tv and think what the hell he was alive yesterday.

The best thing to do for me at any rate, would be to just "stop playing" as you put it.

People seem to think loss of memory = loss of skill, and knowledge. This isn't necessarily the case. Memory and physical memory are seperate things.

yeah, that dude is kinda creepy, but he doesn't eat children, also it is proven in the psychiatric field that many things people claim to remember in dreams is in fact bullshite.
I don't believe in such rubbish as the one called This Man, his face merely creeps me out.

As for Slender man (Tall man to some people who heard of him off-hand) his backstory states that it is unknown what he does with the children, saying that he might eat them, kill them, or merely lure them away for unfathomable reasons. I was bored last night so I googled him and read his backstory in the thread he was created in.

Not at all. Life is all about contrasts. It's impossible to have fun without knowing what total boredom feels like, and vice versa.
I don't know that I agree. My 8month old daughter would beg to differ. She thinks EVERYTHING is awesome ALL THE TIME. And who can argue? She has no real experience to draw on and you can see the newness in her face, even when she sees something she's seen before.

Kids kick ass.

I doubt I would survive for very long, but for while I'm alive, I suppose it would be nice since I'd constantly be learning new things.

Human's wouldn't be able to function without memory. If all worldly knowledge was wiped clean from your psyche every nanosecond, you'd mostly likely be a vegetable.

Well, if I didn't have any memory, I wouldn't be able to do anything about it. I'd get sad over not being able to remember stuff, then forget why I was getting sad, then forget I was sad, etc.

Life without memory would be like repeatedly enduring this scene. Forever. I dunno if I could do that.

For those of you who don't know what this is I'll give some rather crappily explained by me background.

The woman, Donna, who's memories are wiped has finally managed to obtain self confidence and believe that she is a worthwhile person after years of drifting and finding no meaning in her shallow life. She see's impossible wonders and becomes a much better person because of it, to the point where her grandfather even notes she was better after travelling with the Doctor. Then after all she's accomplished, and then going on to save the entire multiverse she has to have her memories ripped away from her along with everything she's become to stop her dying.
