Poll: Would you allow USA users to your website right now?

Americans that block foreign IP's from their websites are often douches, and the website is rarely worth the trouble.

It's a situation where i'd not want to stoop to their level. So i'd keep it open for everyone. Obviously if there is some copyright of lawful reason I couldn't host content, i'd just post something else, or loophole the law.

why not? considering my site is going to be hosted on a Dutch server (where piracy laws are barely enforced) there is no point in blocking anybody.
I sometimes run into this shit on YT and I don,t get why everything is already mirrored on YT itself.

You wanna be careful 'barely enforced' is a lot different from 'non-existent'.

That's one of those things that police like to call 'discretion' which tends to just be a fancy name for using the law to backup whatever they like. If they want to call down whatever laws on you they want, they will.

as far as I know piracy is legal as long as you don,t make money of it or spread it considering a friend of mine is currently uploading 40 torrents proves my point.
PS I would like to add that I don,t torrent stuff unless it,s legal (like open source stuff)

Just making a friendly warning, I've been on the other side of the badge and cops are rather notorious for deciding that the law applies when it benefits them. I'm no expert on Copyright and piracy laws around the world, I'm just saying that 'barely enforced' laws are ones that can get you if they want to get you.

But that wasn't on-topic at all, nor is most of your argument against me. You talked about censorship, which is already available under current laws. You implied covering your ass now would make you a (some permutation of douche, can't remember).
