I'm Jim Grim, and this is my story...
One day I was happily stumbling around on Newgrounds watching animations when I read a review of a certain flash by one "Sir-Schmoopy." It consisted of poorly disguised abuse, and, incensed by his ignorance, I followed the link to his user-page. I discovered that he himself had created a cartoon series which I then watched. It was good, until season 2 came along, but by then I had already discovered the other series on the site which continue to entertain me to this day. Shortly afterwards, I joined the forums.

In answer to your question; yes.

Of coruse I wouldn't, I came to this site for ZP for a bit of a laugh, but don't find them as funny anymore unfortunately.

Then I found these wonderful forums and found out that The Escapist was so much more than ZP.

So I'd stay, though I'd also cry fowl about ZP going.

I would stay on the site without it (saddened, but I'd stay). However, I might not have found it, at least, not so easily.

I was on a webcomics forum that linked the Phantom Hourglass review, and I've been an avid fan ever since. It's my favorite series here, but that's like saying that I like air more than water.

I still like water. It's good to have it every couple of days or so, though I prefer some of it every day, just to be safe.

While I did start coming here because of Zero Punctuation, I would have eventually arrived here anyways because I follow Shamus Young's blog, ergo Stolen Pixels and Experienced Points would have been my gateway to The Escapist had I not already known about it via ZP.

I came for ZP, but stayed because of forums - so, to answer your question, I probably wouldn't have discovered the escapist had it not been for ZP, so no.

I discovered this site after I had seen a tidbit of a Yatzee review off G4's "X-Play" for a game I don't quite remember the name of. At first all I did on this site was watch his weekly reviews and then wait for next week. I think I first discovered the Escapist Forums completely on accident when I clicked on a topic without really intending to and from that point on, I was hooked. Would I have discovered this site without Ben Yahtzee Croshaw? Maybe, but I doubt it. Nevertheless, I think this is one of the greatest sites on the internet and I'm glad I found it and can be a part of it.
