Far out, I was having this very conversation with my flat mate just last night.
I would be fine with it, personally, as long as only free range undead were re-animated (i.e. using my dead gran rather than killing my living one and using her corpse) because it would mean we wouldn't have to pay as much tax on military spending. Zombie police would also be thoroughly impartial and follow procedure, which would be a lot better than the Met.
In Eador, however, it's usually handy to have a second hero of a different class (due to the cost of new heroes) and they can't raise undead like mages can, at least not in a persistent way. In their case it is often best to have livin', breathin', mighty-morphin', lads. The positive karma lads have mega armour, armour-piercing crossbows, healing and flying horses that bust through the enemies lines like looters in a riot whilst the negative karma lads have of an old man with back problems with the power to make enemies feel bad about themselves and some fellows with shit armour and bad breath but on the other hand will also steal from you and reduce your post battle earnings.
