Of course. I'd just enjoy being someone who helps the natural process of death, even if I have to kill the very few people who I love.

To conquer death you must become death.....so yeah I guess plus if the origional death can be replaced then can't you do the same if you don't like it.

I'm surprised at how many people chose to become death. Granted, I chose that too, but I thought I would be the minority.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind the job. I would get to witness all the major events in the world, but I would also have the most important job in existence. Death. I would need to be there when everyone died, yes, but I also would get to help my loved ones deal with their demise as well.

It may be a sad job at times, but I feel as though my existence would have meaning with it.

Power is only fun when people like you for having it, unless you're an arsehole dictator. If you can't share your abilities with anyone, it'd be pointless. Being a Reaper would be a very lonely existance, and that reason alone is reason enough for me to say no.

However, if I could make all of my best friends reapers, and we could go around reaping together as the kings of awesome-sauce, then hell yes, but as that would never happen, my answer remains a resounding no.

I would take the offer, however I would want to know what would happen had it not been for this proposition. And not have the ability to change choice. Like Neo.

I have too much honor, to take a life without reason.
But you wouldnt do it without reason, thats not the point.
There is a difference between "prepared to die" and "[it's your] time to die". There is no moral reason in taking a life, because you "have to". No moral, no honor.

You have much to learn, young one.
You're not going around killing people though, you're putting those who have died to rest, it's not murder.

Read my other posts (in this thread), if you want a deeper explanation, regarding this.

Only if I could live a normal, fufilling life.

And get a Blue Oyster Cult song.

The answer is yes.

I'd say yes, but for all of you who are also saying as such, read Mort, by Terry Pratchett, and see if you still say yes.

Yes, I would have to take him up on his offer,
if I became an immortal skeleton with the power to take life.
