Hmm... I always knew that bus driver was out to get me (Seriously there is a bus driver near where I live who drives within inches of me while I'm stood a good few feet from the road...)

Well thinking about it and how many deaths there are I'd assume he is askin because of the large workload and probably just wants me to help with "Local" deaths... sure why not :)

Nah, cause it would be boring. My day would consist of meeting millions of people who die daily, and carrying their souls to heaven and hell. And I can't really use the powers listed on the living.

I am become death.
Now that *that* quote is out of the way, of course. It'd be an interesting way to explore the afterlife and how it all works. When my time is done, I can always pass on the burden. Plus, like another person said earlier, being able to spend time in the afterlife with your family and friends could be beneficial.

I would immediately accept, go kill Jared Leto, and mourn my foolishness.

Naw, if I had a choice between the Grim Reaper and actually dying, instead of being brought back to life, I'd pick Reaper.

Hell yeah I'd take the offer, but there would most likely be somne very heavy strings attached to becoming the Grim Reaper

Death for some reason sounds like it could be a fun job. Don't ask why. Then there's always the whole "you can hang out with dead friends/family/insert-person-here" bit too.

The pain bit made it a deffinite, if you didn't experience pain then it'd be a pretty boring existence, how can there be pleasure without pain, after all. Therefore, hell yes

I'd need to know how long my contract lasted and if I could go back later.

If the answers were 'forever' and no', then no way. My life rocks. I bet being Death would come with loads of sucky rules.

It would be a lot of work but quite fun.
Has everyone forgotten you can challenge death to any game for your soul? Just unsubtly remind everyone one of this condition and you get an eternity of boardgames, sports, computer games, pictionary and anything that can be done competitevly at all. Being death incarnate sounds fun. : )

In that setting it would be pointless. It was already describe by Pratchett in his Discworld novel "Mort" where Death decided to take an apprentice. The human part of the boy was too attached to life to be able to do the job properly.

It is not something human mind is capable of fully comprehending really, creating the deaths personification in form of Grim Reaper was one of ways of dealing with the big unknown.
