1) You have to take friends and family.
2) You have to take anyone who's time is up, whether it's 'right' or not.
3) You have to share every death and carry it forever.
4) You have to reap everybody, so you'll never stop working.

Nope. I'll pass on that, thanks.

Well it has its advantages, but would you have to take care of everyone or simply a few select people? If not that would be a busy work day. you know it sounds better than my life now. Sure.

I'd don't know it is a lot of work going around finding dead people forever and I'm to smart to get hit by the bus because I look both ways

I would love to be Death, but the version where there is pretty much thick miasma type fog around my feet while I walk and my face is completely covered so it appears black... yes... I could really have some fun with that... Heh heh

One question, would being Death mean you yourself do the killing at the appropriate moment, or just severing the ties to the mortal world after death?

I probably would. Not that I'd overly enjoy the whole pain side, having a job to do would be pretty fun.

I mean, seriously! The Grim Reaper! That's a pretty important role and I'd like the attention, honestly.

Also, I don't find there is any "morality" or "honor" involved with the job since the Grim Reaper doesn't actually kill people (That's what buses, trains, heart attacks, etc) are for. He just makes sure the soul leaves the body.

No way, having to see everyone die is way too much work for me. Do you know how many people die in a day?... And they usually look real gross doing it. How am I ever going to enjoy a meal?

I am nicknamed by as 'The Grim Reaper' because of how negative I can be. Though it doesn't make sense that should share the pain and suffering of the person whose soul I'm reaping.

God isn't punished every time there's a natural disaster right? Economists don't loose all their money when the economy breaks down right? And I'm sure that gardeners don't fall ill when their plants do.

See my point?

That would require for the soon-to-be-dead to choose if he wants to die, or at least choose not to go with The Reaper upon death. Either way, if the person choose not to, the reaper will have to deal with the matter forcefully (ie. Taking the life).

Besides, I'm sure The Grim Reaper's schythe, isn't just for show and to cut through traffic.

It depends, will I be transported to a jazzy afterlife and have work of my debt (ie sins) until I am granted a chance to go to Heaven?

All whilst wearing a snappy white suit?

Someone has to do the job and I cold hearted enough to not to be phased with what needs to be done. The pain would suck but nothing in life is easy, why should death be any different?
