What I mean is having the singleplayer, the multiplayer, the bonus content (outfits, camoflauge, stuff that is kind of meaningless) sold in diferent packages while beeing cheaper.

Of course that if you bought every package of the game (in order to have all the content) the total price would be the normal price of a recently launched title.

The thing is that sometimes I hear people saying that they dont care for singleplayer, others say that they dont care for multiplayer and I know that some people dont care for meaningless additional stuff, so basicly you would pay for what you want of that game. If you want the whole game you would end up paying the same as if it was all in the same package (actually there could be a version of the game that included everything to go along with the release of the seperate packages).

Would you like this type of deals in the future?

I think with the age of digital distribution this could work. Though I wouldn't directly benefit from it as I tend to go across the board on game modes, it would free up a lot of space used to complain on the forum.

I definitely would. A lot of the time I buy a multiplayer game because the majority of my friends are playing it, and not because I really enjoy it that much. In these cases I don't even touch the campaign, and just play the multiplayer with my friends when they want to play. If I could get just the multiplayer portion of the game for like $30 instead of $60 I'd be all over that.

Plus, there are games where I never intend to touch the multiplayer, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for example, so not having to pay for it, even if it only lowered the cost my $10 or so, would definitely be a bonus.

I never play multiplayer unless I have bought the game deliberately for that (Like GOL) so yeah that would be cool.

Assassins Creed BH springs to mind and Dead Space 2 absolutely no intention of playing the multiplayer there.

Seeing as how I never use multi-player or online functions, I imagine that would actually save me quite a lot of money.

Yeah, if it was just the single player. I really haven't played any of the multiplayer modes of games I've bought recently, so the thought of being able to buy just the parts I want for cheaper is really appealing to me.

I hit "No" because I was dumb and didn't read.

It would save my quite a bit of money.

I NEVER!! care about multiplayer. It just annoys me when games have Achievements / Trophies based on the multiplayer.

If they released a completely seperate Achi. pack for the single player and multiplayer, then yeah, probably.

I would love this, I could buy modern warefare 3 like this.
I'm sure the multiplayer would be the expensive part, so I'd save money, and not have to deal with whatever happened in multiplayer.

This. I much rather pay less for all the features of a single player game then have a multiplayer feature I would probably never bother with.

Eh. Maybe. It really depends on the developer and game, honestly.

I really don't have enough faith in the industry to do this. They'd try to sell each piece at regular whole-game price.

If it was done carefully, sure I would. I am, after all, yet another of those who never play multiplayer, I'd rather just buy the single player campaign. And it'd probably mean the end to crappy three-hour single player campaigns since nobody would buy those.

Well, of course I would. This is basically asking if I would buy some games on sale I wouldn't buy for full price.

interesting concept. Choosing line item what features you want to buy im a game will defiantly appeal to many people. However i prefer buying a game as a whole. its the satisfying feeling that i now own a complete copy of game xyz.then With addon DLC i can choose to but or not. I do believe already on disc DLC and 15 dollar map packs can go fight a stranger in the alps though.

I think I've spent significant time with four multiplayer games in my life:

- Rainbow Six: Raven Shield (PC)
- Battlefield: Vietnam (PC)
- The Madden Series (PS3) - because I play against friends
- Borderlands (PS3) - bought it to play co-op with a friend

I'd say with about 50% of my games with MP, I've never even played it once, and about 80% I've only played once.

Yeah, it'd make a lot of sense for me.
