So it's basically a PS3 with full backwards compatibility? You know that'd require three independent processors, right?

I mean, yeah I would buy one, but it's not going to happen.
What? The original run of PS3s were fully backwards compatible. I have one.

OT: I picked "only if..." and that's only if my PS1, PS2 and PS3 all died.

I'd buy one in a decades time, when they're the same price PS2s are now. I like playing older games, sure, but I don't do it as often as newer 'this gen' games. Next gen I will most likely be playing next gen games but if I had something that was cheap, so I could bust out some old school games, all on one platform, then yeah, I'd buy one.

I can already play PS1 & PS2 games on my PC, and I'm sure PS3 will happen within the next year or two, so I would have no reason to buy it.

PS3 is my first Sony console and I have had that for almost 4 months so my game library there is very limited. I could buy them used, but then I would have to deal with whatever condition those games might be in at this point. I would rather get the opportunity to download the older games and have them slightly tweaked to be compatible with the hardware of PS4.
