So, with Zero Punctuation coming up on its 75th episode (77th if you count the YouTube ones), is there anyone else who'd be in favor of a DVD release?

And if Yahtzee'd be willing to acknowledge us (a very big if I admit) what supplemental features would you like to see?
If he does make one, it should come with an extra video showing how he makes ZP, aswell as a poster, a badge, a Ben Croshaw version of the board game yahtzee, a hat, and maybe even a ZP action Figure.

Why would you ever buy something that is free online?

I dunno...to show your support? That's why some people bought League of Legends even though you can legally get it for free (last I knew).

Novel concept giving money to things you like even if you don't have to.

It really depends. Most likely not (as I have yet to buy the Red Vs. Blue DVDs I'm still interested in getting but don't feel like putting money out for).

If the bonus content was worth it and if it had longer (or additional) reviews for games, I wouldn't mind. But the odds of that are low and probably not worth it anyway.

I'd go with buying a DVD, my online lately hasn't played ZP videos like it used to.

No, I wouldn't because I don't watch them multiple times. I watch them once and that's about it. The only time I've really ever rewatched one is if at the time, I hadn't played the game and once I do, I go back and watch it again. Because the second, I'll understand what he's talking about.

Otherwise, no. I see no point in owning the episodes.

No, why would I pay when they are free on the internet?
Completely and utterly seconded.
Thirded
Fourth-ed. All that's required is Real Player; what with their nifty "download any video you want" browser add on,(which, unfortunately, isn't compatible with the new version of Firefox, cry.) you could probably just make your own. That being said, if it was under ten bucks, I'd probably think about it.
Look for DownloadHelper, nifty little Firefox plug-in.
I'm not sure how you guys are able to use these plug-ins to download ZP vids, 'cuz I sure as hell can't. Whenever I've tried, I get a "this video cannot be downloaded" error message, so you must have hacks that I've never heard of.

In that event, *I* would buy a DVD, if only because I seem to be too much of a dumbass to download the vids myself. :(

Silly thread Necros!

Anyways. Probably not, seeing as I don't buy that many DVDs in the first place

No. Imagine this situation : You invite a person to your house/appartment so that you can impress her, and when she looks at your movies (WHICH SHE WILL!) She finds "Escapist Magazine presents Zero Punctuation on DVD".

First response she will have is : "Okay, what the hell is this?" so she looks at the back of the DVD case and sees a bunch of crap about Yahtzee and his angry rants on video games.

Second response is this : "Oh god, a video game nerd." She will then quietly put the DVD back on your shelf so you don't notice she's seen it.

Third response is being distant and bored all night and imagining that the second she leaves you will go join your stupid gamer buddies and be an antisocial nerd.

You drive her home and when you lean in for a kiss, the fourth response kicks in, DENIED! She politely comes up with an excuse (while actually thinking EWWWWW YOU NERD!!!), and walks into her building. A great night ruined by something you could have gotten for free on the internet.
Let's not generalize here... If I were on a date and I saw that the guy had an entire DVD of ZP vids, he would be getting laid that night. And then we'd break out the game consoles and Doritos, fight to the deaths, then have sex again.

And yes, I'm a girl. Nerds are hot.

Why? I can watch them for free on the Escapist. Makes no sense at all. Why pay for something I can just watch on here?
It goes to a good cause :) jk. But if they threw in some free swag it might be cool.

I love it, but why pay money for it when I can watch them for free any time of day at my fingertips?

Unless there was some magical bonus content that didn't appear here at the Escapist.

No, but it gets very confusing when I see a NoMoreSanity post.

And it makes me a little sad. He was awesome
