I certainly would have an interest in it.

The thing I'm worried about is if they were to do this, would they just release the games as they are in a package?
I'm assuming they would at least try and release it for consoles, and if they do...

[sub]Daggerfall would be impossible to finish on a console. You need cheats to get out of a wall![/sub]
[sub][sub]I've never played Daggerfall, I've just heard that it is incredibly buggy[/sub][/sub]

If a Morrowind version in HD (reworked/better textures) came out for PC, my reaction would pretty much be:

It's my favourite game of all time, so having one less excuse to not play through it again would be great (I'm afraid I'm slightly allergic to older graphics)
New animations would be nice too, but everything else could stay the same.

I'd be all over that.
I wouldn't say no to an updated combat system (don't think it'd be hard to pull off, there are mods for it already), but yeah, I'd be more than happy with just every single texture being professionally reworked by the guys who originally made it.

Incidentally, that's an awesome pic :>

No, but only because I already have mirrowind, oblivion and skyrim on steam. The HD branding (cause PC screen resolution was already higher than TV stadard before HD TV and DVI,) wouldn't be worth the second price tag for me when I already have the content whenever I want it.

That being said, if I didn't have them on steam, then I would be willing.

assuming that the HD remake would A) Improve graphics to modern standards, (i'd actually include Morrowind in this... i could barely get past the graphical eyesore...) and also fixed all the broken stuff... (I had MAJOR issues with the lock-picking in Morrowind since i came off of Oblivion... i also heard a lot of bad things about combat... being right next to your enemy and missing because of random dice rolls and stuff) then i'd be all over it... it wouldn't require much work on Bethesda's part, and would certainly keep us busy as hell while we wait for Elder Scrolls 6 (PLEASE be in Elsweir...) and Fallout 4 and the like...

The dice roll combat system in Morrowind isn't so bad. Once you get up a few levels it becomes much less annoying. It's still there but it doesn't miss so many hits to be a pain. But the problem with that system is that it makes using bows pointless. It's so hard to hit stuff with a bow anyway, and even if you do you still have to pray that the game lets you have the hit.

I think it would be really cool to go to Summerset Isle in the next game. It's supposed to be like feudal Japan I think. I would love to see how that looks in the Elder Scrolls universe. Elsweyr would be really cool to see too. I imagine it might look something like this. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwAUKMkcB7s]

If they fixed the controls a bit and released it HD? Yes, yes I would. My only problem playing Arena and Daggerfall is that I have the hardest time clicking stuff that wasn't exactly at eye level, like corpses and loot.

As for an HD upgrade for Morrowind, I already have it. I think I saw it posted above me, so look there. It helps SO much and it makes the game gorgeous.

I'm talking about games before Morrowind, ones that weren't released on consoles.
I think if some people today were to play Daggerfall they would probably burst out in tears.

That game is absolutely massive.

The biggest game map of all time to date.

I see all the talk of how big the GTA games are and how big Just Cause 2's map was. One look at Daggerfall would send some of those folk into shock.

On Topic...

If the updated the older ones like Arena and the aforementioned Daggerfall then yeah I would buy a collection.

They are still "playable" but haven't aged one. Plus with the sheer scale of Daggerfall it does reuse a hell of a lot of textures so an update to that would be fantastic.
