How about a DIY kit?
Like a kit car? Or like getting a frame and buying whatever parts from whoever?

Hmmmm. I like.
Something like the latter. Almost like making your own PC.
That is a great idea. As long as the kit doesn't include a self surgery starter kit, I'm on board.

Doubt it, as if other companies made them too, I could likely get a better arm for less money from one of them.

No because when they putter out on me, I'd have to have them "serviced" at an apple store, which is code for "Pay them hundreds of dollars to replace the power supply". Doesn't seem like a good idea to buy body parts from a company that puts sleekness before functionality.

I would, and then I would end up with another useless limb when they brick it for my using a third-party finger to replace the broken one.

Not from Apple. I'd buy it from someone who specializes in robotic limbs, not computers.
This. Why on earth would Apple do robotic limbs?

I'd wait around for the open-source/Linux version, and print my own on Eagle CAD and build it myself out of an old printer and a radio.

Can you imagine the EULA on an Apple body part?
Also, this. Considering how iTunes' EULA forces you to agree that you wown't use iTunes in nuclear weapons (??!!?!?!!?!???!?!!?!?), I can't imagine what they'd do with limbs.

"You cannot use your limbs to explode suns" is my guess.

No, because they'd only do what Apple lets them, they'd be far too restrictive, and it'll track what I do with them. However, hardware-wise, very good.

Of course. Apple makes nice looking products and I have really good health insurance.

I could re-up for the sleeker model every time planned obselecence kicks in!

Robotic Limbs are always better than none, so if I needed any, I certainly would. My IPod is reliable, so a robotic arm might be, too.

Nope I don't like Apple and they'd have to be top of the line, the most cyberpunk looking robotic arms ever and not be over priced like everything else they sell if they want me to even look at them... besides if the internet has instructions for hovercrafts and jetpacks they'll have instructions for robotic arms... or I'll just get them off of Ebay or something... but if it were from I dunno a hardware company like Gigabyte or MSI I might buy... and you know it will come with good cooling...<.<

The one time I don't want something to be open source - WHEN ITS ATTACHED TO MY FREAKING BODY.

No because my limbs would become pretentious hipsters and I'd have to amputate them to get them to stop fining me for moving my shoulder.

If I do, I'll read the terms of use agreement very carefully. I don't want Steve Jobs to brick my arm when I try to masturbate.
