Depends on which company can make me look like a smaller scale titan from warhammer 40K
Or let me switch out the hand attachment for a minigun at will

...I don't think so.

No because they probably wouldn't be able to play games, would be pretentious and would become obsolete quickly forcing you to get an upgrade for full functionality.

Not from apple, but maybe from someone else. I would like my arm to do a plenty of things. Probably have a cellphone a lighter, a knife, a screwdriver, among other things. The thing would be, I'd like it all to fit inside the arm, having the arms default setting be a standard sized arm. Sort of like a swiss army knife. Only problem would be I wouldn't be allowed on any planes lol.

No because they would just make the same thing and then make slow changes to the models every year and charge more each time.

I would probably wait for LG, none of their hardware has ever crapped out on me like apple, and i wouldn't have to worry about my iArm not being compatible with my new MP3 player.
My Optimus Quantum IS compatible with my 8 year old XP machine, and the older model macbooks and if the ability to manufacture ridiculous cell phones is any indication of the ability to manufacture prosthetic limbs, Presumably with full keyboards, I would be all over that.

I wouldn't buy robotic limbs from Apple. They might make me buy new limbs every 3-4 years so I can install the latest updates or something. I would much rather get robotic limbs from a company that made its name and specialized in that sort of thing instead.

I'd rather buy from Samsung, or just about anyone else.
I would not want Apple trying to tell me what I can a cant use my limb to do.
For your safety we removed the wank function, have a nice day.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
That is what I had planned for to use it for, now its useless.

I'd sure go for one if I needed one but oddly enough I might get one regardless. It might mean I don't need a laptop, an iPod and a mobile phone.

I've worked on robotics in the past, and I know that Apple just doesn't have the mechanical engineering knowhow for this. However... Sony, Honda, Toyota, Toshiba, Fuji, Denso, Epson, Kawasaki, Yaskawa, and Kawada... all of those I would at least look in to.

I'd get mine from Rimtech or Neuropa Ltd. Uber-cookies for those who get the reference.

I'd only buy if I needed to, if I lost an arm I wouldn't be in a position to complain but it would make them a lot less appealing if they didn't come with something that enabled sense of touch.

The price would be astronomical.

... I'd say no, and I'd wait for Microsoft to come out with the easier to use product that i can customize the shit out of. And hell, it'd get viruses, so i'd never know the difference.

Anyway, yeah, but if i wanted a new body part, I'd get brand new and get wings that wouldnt be too cumbersome by Lockheed. For my PC part... maybe something in my wrist that acted as an all purpose android or something.

So I just watched the new trailer for Deus Ex: HR and I thought of the title question and should share it with the Escapist. So would you buy robo limbs from Apple?
No, because it would cost an arm and a leg.
You, my friend, were ninja'd by me.

Computer software and hardware company with little to no experience in making devices intended for medical use? Sure, and while we're at it, when I get my own house, maybe I should be adamant about using only one whole Ikea furniture set for the rest of my life.
