Well if everyone would think I as always a woman anyway, I guess. Personally I'd wish that I was born one. I'd rather have the experiences than just switch at some point during my life.

As I'm male cishet scum, [snip]
On behalf of the greater reasonable trans community, I would like to apologize for whoever called you that. It seems to have become a common insult leveled by more militant transfolk (most likely the attention-seeking hipsters seeking safe-harbor under the 'trans umbrella').

I'd also like to say that in spite of my inherent jade toward threads like this due to actually being and living as a more moderate trans individual, I think it's nice people are talking about this stuff. Maybe if people think about it more and start to consider the emotional trauma of having your identity undermined on such a scale, they'll be slower to 'he-she' and quicker to just 'they' or simply call by name instead of pronoun. Truly, it is the small things that really make your day when you're trans, and being accepted, even at a cursory level, makes you feel like you're walking on sunshine.

For my answer I totally picked 'Yes Permanent' but I'm not gonna tell ya which way ;p
No need to apologise for silly people who aren't you.
We cishet shitlords just use the term in a jocular manner to "reclaim" it so to say, like when black people call each other ******.
You seem like a very respectable and pleasant person, and I hope you're treated with the respect that you appear to deserve.
I can imagine it isn't easy to be living proof that gender is not a social construct, when popular identity politics dictate that it is.

Sure, I'd give being female a try. Broaden my horizons and all that, doubt I'd want to stay that way, though. Periods and such sound like a pain. Hmm, being able to switch back-and-forth at will would be really cool, though. I'd totally use it to cosplay as Saber.

Now to mix things up a bit and add a third option: futanari, completely functional. I suspect that I would go for that option if it existed, get all the parts I want, get the hormones, and still messing with people's heads by merely existing. I kind of have a provocative personality when I am emotionally stable. It is also interestingfrom an transhumanistic viewpoint.
Can I also have the third option? That goes double if I can't just have the power to gender-bend myself at will...

OT: However, if I could only change my gender, I'll stick with the one-month "free trial" option before thinking about going for the life-time subscription... Although, I would not be surprised if thinking of hitting on my childhood friend would be less creepy than it already is now, hypothetically speaking...

Other than that, the only intangible title I would loose is "first male-born in my family" since it would all seem like I was female to begin with, anyway... But, whatever...

Nah, wouldn't change a thing, i would miss scratching my balls too much!

I'm sure women have their own little non sexual pleasures they get from their bodies but i can't imagine anything beating a good old ball scratching

Given I'd have a month (or less if it's awful) to turn back? Hell yes. I'd probably turn back even if I'm having a great time (I mean one month is hardly long enough to gauge what your whole life would be. Would need more like a year for that), but for the experience? Yes please.

So here is the hypothetical supernatural situation of today. You find an oil lamp and rub it. A genie appears and offers you a reward for breaking an ancient curse and setting him free. Unfortunately the genies powers are very limited and he can only change your gender. However no one around you would notice and will treat you as if you have always been a man/woman. And you have a period of 1 month to go back and tell him you changed your mind.

Personally I would say no. Although it would be an "interesting" experience the downsides are just to big for me. Peeing while standing up would be impossible plus I would have to deal with menstruation and possibly giving birth to a child. Neither of which I have experienced but don't seem very pleasant.

So would you accept his offer?
As it stands? Heck no. I don't want to be turned into a woman on the verge of going through menopause.

If it was "Become an 18yr old woman"... I might give it serious consideration.

I'd do the temporary switch to female so that I could go up & stand by a bar for a bit until a lad tries their luck.

Then I'd start quoting the Dremora Lord from Skyrim & I wouldn't stop.

I'm already the supposedly easier of the two to maintain, and not doing too well at it. I doubt I would be any better at the other one.

Eh, sure why not? I'd only want it temporarily, but it would be kinda interesting to learn what it's like on the other side of the fence. Like... having boobs and a vagina, that'd be.... something different, I guess. Though I would also probably be shorter than most males, because biology. Would also be able to prove or disprove that really fuckin weird dream I had once, where I was inside the head of some woman I've never seen before. It was weird, because I was aware of who I actually was and my own identity, but for a few moments I felt what she felt, like I was that person except I wasn't. It couldn't really be a female version of me either, it was definetely another person. It would just be interesting to see if my subconcious actually managed to simulate biologically being a woman, in a way.

Although men's body is interesting and wonderful (mostly when I look at this gorgeous man sleeping next to me), as I can't even imagine how some things work for them with those different components, but I wouldn't even try to be a man for just one day. Better leave some things to the imagination.
