Recognized? God no, long time lurker. Regular? Yes, browse this site pretty much whenever I get the chance, it is hilarious to watch people squabble over such trivialities.

1. Probably not, people may know me if they've been involved in Dark Souls threads (or sexism ones for that matter, I make an idiot of myself a lot), but I don't think so.

2. I suppose so. I get most of my topics from the most recent/popular tabs on the side of video pages, and I consume a lot of the content (even going so far as to READ some articles).

Yeah... sorta wish I wasn't because most of the forum topics is people complaining about new game A or evil publisher B, Anita Skarsesian is a neo-nazi in disguise, blah, blah, blah. Is positivity too much to ask for?

Recognized? Probably not as much as I used to be when I'd consistently post in the numerous Mass Effect threads with Vrex and Ratrace...

Active? Not as much as I used to be. I mean, I've got the site open in a tab 24/7, but I usually don't really go to that tab.

I don't know if I'd consider myself a recognized member, but I am certainly a regular.

I check the site several times every day and post fairly often. I've been here every day since the day I joined.

I tend to post at least once a day, either on a news topic or the gaming/off topic sub-forums. I don't go into the RP section.

I would like to think some people recognise me, but that is wishful thinking.

1. Yes, but only when I am sporting a Mao avatar. People don't even realize I am Fappy if I don't have Mao with me.

2. Yes, but not as much as I was last year. Work's been busier, but I still manage to post here and there in GD and OT. I also started in the RP forum recently and do a lot of user group stuff.
Holy crap Fappy you're back!

I didn't recognise you.

Replace |Rookie| with Vault101, then you'd be right :p
Hate to break this to you, but Vault 101 was banned yesterday. Another victim of the healthbar system, no less, since what she did was really minor, but she apparently had enough minor strikes on her record to push her over the edge.
It's sad that she's gone but she had been pushing it for a while though.
I read a handful of her recent posts that were completely rude and I think someone else would have been given the boot quite some time ago.

I visit a couple of times per day so I would say both yes and no.

I only post in threads that interest me however, usually the ones that are shown on the sidebar.

I recognize you, if only because of your creepy as all hell avatar.
And because I like to frequent sexism threads and watch other people argue.
Same goes for the Dark-Souls-Eays-Mode threads.

1. I'm probably not very well known. People who frequent the RP forums might know of me. But even then I've only played two somewhat shortlived RPs and am now GMing my own. My "What Would Henry Rollins Do?" avatar might be making me more and more recognizable, as I've lately been posting a lot more.

2. And yes, definitely active. If I'm not making massive GM posts that take me almost a week to plan and post, I'm probably giving someone around here a piece of my mind.

1: Amongst the Brovengers people, and active users from last year? Sure, animated squirtle gets some love. However, I've been posting very little this year, so newer users (and those who don't have perfect memory) won't recognise me.

2: Last year, definitely. Nowadays, I'm using more VOIP stuff while I game, so I guess that's just become a natural step-up from hanging out on chat so much. Still, I check back in on the Brovengers to chat to folks there, but maybe not so much the forums.

Yes. This is one of the tabs I always have open.

I don't think I'm recognisable. I am probably someone who if remembered is remembered through avatar alone and is only remembered to any degree by people who I share groups with.

Me being active though is probably not. I try to be but depsite reading many threads every day I hardly ever think of a meaningful comment that hasn't been said.

Who the hell are you?

OT: I've got, like, a couple of guys that recognise me. I dunno, I tend to be quite inoffensive so I doubt most people notice me.

I'd say I'm fairly active. Probably would be more so if I didn't type out a response only to decide I didn't want to post it about 50% of the time. Though it doesn't help that people are always ignoring me or telling me I'm wrong. Mostly the first one.

Anyway, have some cookies.

love it here. the people are great, the reviews are funny and the journalistic bits are interesting. i have actually been lurking around here since 2009, just didn't create a user before 2 years had passed and even then it took months before i grew the bravery to write here.

i love you boys and or girls

Yes, Lord and Master! :)

I'm definitely a regular. I swear that I'm addicted to this site. I get up from bed and the first thing I do is check my inbox here. Then I mosey around and clean up the blood stains from the night before--um, never mind!

As for being recognized...maybe. I do "NEWS:" stories a few times each month and start quite a few standard threads as well. I post in ones that interest me but lately I've been hanging back from most of the drama going on around here.. Mostly I'd guess my avatars are what most people would recognize me for.

I'm a member in several user groups. I'm also active in the PubClub, but you'd have to climb to the top of Mt. Olympus to join the PubClub master race to interact with me there. :p

This one of mine is easily one of the most unique avatars on the Escapist.

Eleuthera modified this from the standard black and white format to make it more fitting to my User Name.

@1.
Not sure if im recognized here. I know in another forum they started making threads about me, so that kinda proved it. But i hardly saw anyone here claiming he saw me doing this or that elsewhere in the forum or so. Im not the personality that attract many internet friends anymore.

@2.
yes. i visit 5 days a week so im a regular user imo.

Hey. Hey Rookie! Hey you! *hands Rookie a free Mi-go* Have fun! *runs like hell*

A bit more OT: Well, as long as there's an internet connection, this account is logged on to the Escapist. Posting once every now and then (every few hours to a couple of times a week, it varies) so yeah, active regular here. Still, not like back at the Forum Games where, together with some others that shall not be named *cough*Para and Red*cough* several pages would be filled every day.

Probably not recognised that well beyond those who have stared into the eyes of insanity.

I am pretty much one of the longest time lurkers (this account was made a long time after I started lurking). And yet I almost never post. I doubt more than a few people remember me but my avatar is pretty bright and unique so maybe?

I really should post more but I read my posts back and think "No, no-one wants to hear that, delete" 90% of the time.

I definitely recognize most of you regulars though, I'm in the camp of always having a forum tab open, if only to read other peoples posts.

Am I regular? Well, I am always here so yes.

And I have the Landmark badge? So that's a thing.

Outside of certain threads or perhaps R&P? I severely doubt it. I usually only post if I have something interesting to add, which is not that often these days, so I don't post much and that means not too many people will recognize me. That said, I usually tend to lurk around in this forum pretty much every other day for the last 3 years - so I do know a fair share of posters around here and do consider myself a little bit knowledgeable about this forum. If that qualifies as "regular" or "active" I don't really know.
