Poll: Would you consider yourself a regular here on the escapist?

Hey guys/girls lesser members of the escapist. :3

I'd just like to ask you a couple of questions!

1: Do you consider yourself a recognized member of the escapist?

I've been a member of this forum for a while now and think many members of the escapist would recognize at least my avatar by now as well as my charming demeanour and totally not inflated ego :3

2: Do you consider yourself to be an ACTIVE member of the escapist?

I come online several times every day, post in several threads and take a look at the user groups/featured content. I think that could be considered as active. (Then there are users like Topazfusion who are just plain addicts :3)

What about you lot then? Oh and feel free to leave any cookies, money and women by the door. :3

Yes to both questions, I'm not online as much now as I was in 2011 or 2012 whilst I'm busy with the final year of my degree but I try to come on when I can and I still run an RP in the Role-playing section. I've been involved in a fair few events in this site, from the protests against the rule changes in 2011, to the more recent Brovengers / Injustice League War and Avatar Swaps. I'd hope my fellow regulars would recognise the good ol' Big Daddy avatar when they see it and imagine me sitting in my underwater lair, twirling my villainous mustache

1. I would think I am recognised by my avatars at least, since I've had various Community avatars for a long time now (he says, now whilst he has a Persona 4 Animation avatar). Whether or not my name is particularly recognisable, I have absolutely no idea.

2. Yeah, I post in the Brovengers usergroup a fair amount during the day, and always try to at least make a couple of posts on the forums each day as well.

1. Not really. I'm not really one of the more active members who goes out and does cool things for the site, I just sort of amble around the forum, occasionally posting.

2. I do consider myself active though. I've visited and posted on this site almost every day for the last 4-and-a-half years. I might not post a great deal, but I certainly keep plodding along at it.

There seems to be a core few members that more or less everyone knows, and then there are a few infamous users who have been outlawed but are very well known. They have more recognition than me.

1. Recognized... a little. Mostly in R&P. I don't really use fancy gifs in my Avatar, and they tend to stay the same for a while, plus I don't post any heavy opinions outside of R&P.

2. I visit at least 10 times a day, and post a lot. So I'd say yes.

Hmmm, such a distinct lack of red in your forum health meter, are you sure your an active R&P user? X3

I've been coming here a long-ish time for news and columns and the like, but fairly recently I think I'd call myself a regular, and have started to regularly lurk and post in the forums. I also always forget to sign out. That last thing isn't really related though.

Recognized? In the Forum Games, I'm a god. In the other forums... eh, not so much. I used post alot of reviews in the user Reviews! Ask Marter, he might vouch for me! If he remembers. <.<

Active... active. I used to be. Now I'm here and free all the time. But there are so little threads with worthy discussion value. And the threads that do have discussion values also tend to be the ones with a fantastic response team. So that's narrowed down to... 2 threads every week I might post in. >~>

1. Yes, but only when I am sporting a Mao avatar. People don't even realize I am Fappy if I don't have Mao with me.

2. Yes, but not as much as I was last year. Work's been busier, but I still manage to post here and there in GD and OT. I also started in the RP forum recently and do a lot of user group stuff.

On the one hand, I've been here for years, on the other, I find my posts to about as interesting as cardboard and I don't really post much in usergroups or forum games... so meh. 1. I think so. I'm not exactly sure the things I've been noticed for are great, people seem to notice me more when I'm getting angry.

2. Yep, I'm here quite a lot. I usually have a million tabs open and the Escapist is always one of them. I've been accused of replying to quotes too fast, but I just notice when my tabs change. Plus I type pretty quick.

I'm active. Depending on your definition. I'm in the Brovengers user group all the time, but there are days I'll only post in one thread or not even at all. Also watch/read most of the featured content.

Dunno about how well I'm recognized outside of the Brovengers though. I've made a few wacky threads, I've posted a few wacky things but I generally don't generate or join in most controversy if I can help it. Obviously I can't always help it, of course, I am only human.

Yeah, and also Seekster and Danyal from R&P - they were very entertaining. I think the best way to get recognised from what's been put in this thread so far is to either have a very controversial opinion, a cool avatar, or both.
