I thought about this after I saw the poll about transgendered people, and I was curious.
EDIT: noticed I forgot to put the marry thing in, sorry for the confusion

it depends, are you talking about someone that is crazy or slow, either way it really depends.

Whats the and/or for?

And it really depends on what you mean by `Mental Handicap`, do you mean someone who is for example bipolar, with mental health issues, or do you mean someone who is disabled to the point of having a young mental age?

this exactly, I would never date someone who isn't all there mentally. However if it's just seizures or bipolar disorder I could live with it.

You're going to need to define "mental handicap" a lot more thoroughly than you have here. It could mean just about anything. And I'm not even going to get into the ramifications of the word "handicap" FFS.

I think the real question is would they date me?

And yeah, I'll go with 'it depends on the severity'. If it's something relatively mild then sure, I could work around that.

Yeah, what everyone else said. It would depend on the severity, but typically I'll say no.
My ex had autism and I couldn't even cope with that :/ so I'm not sure about something more.
If he was in an accident and became mentally handicapped I'd stay by his side though.

I went out with a girl who had pretty bad bipolar disorder for nearly two years. There were a few attempted suicides to be talked out of on her part.

So yeah...

Well, depends on the severity.

I mean, I have a mental handicap, but I don't actually tell people and nobody notices anyway. I would have no problem with somebody similar to myself.

A Down's syndrom person, though? Of course not.

Honsetly.

Young mental age no, bipolar probably not. I look for intelligence and stability in a partner.

But a condition like schizophrenia maybe if I liked them enough
