Hell no I can't stand my self to begin with. Add a period once a month; I'll have to get a silver stake 'and destroy the abomination.

I would if only to see what the what the inbred kids would look like. Then again I am scared of myself as it is. I don't want to know what a female version of me would be like.

If such a man existed, maybe. I've learned that too much sameness can be a huge downside though, that's why I look for someone similar to me, but not exactly the same. :)
Gender can change a lot though.

too weird, too similar.
there needs to be shared interests, but difference is what makes a relationship fun. A replica would be boring.

Think Q continum boring, all has been said and done.

I wonder how many of these posts would change if people worked off an "alternate universe" theory, rather than a "clone" theory.

He/she would have had a different life than you, not exactly the same, which leaves lots of room for difference in personality and interests.

Nah. I need someone a bit more emotionally and mentally stable. We'd feed off each other's negativity until we start World War III on opposing sides. I need to someone who can offer some variety and pick me up when I'm down, not endure it at my side.

Although I do need someone who shares my values and interests but that should be achievable without having to clone myself.

I would not date someone exactly like myself.

I'm very introverted and frequently need a break from even nice people, so it would be too exhausting spending time around a male version of myself. I require someone who can somewhat balance out my traits and give me space when I need it.

Furthermore I like having to work to learn things about others, so it'd be too boring to have someone identical to me. A little mystery is attractive to me. :\

It'd be weird.
I guess I would, because we'd have so much in common and mostly enjoy each other's company. But she'd be pretty ugly, though.

It can, but can it change who someone is deep down? A male version of me would be little different then a female version, minus more shaving, different ways of going to the bathroom, and that's really about it. Everything else is something society feels men and women ''should'' do or will do because of their gender, and if this situation ever came to pass, I would make sure he never ever has to see that. ;)
I may be thinking of this the wrong way. I am imagining a version of you is from another dimension or something which would be different personality in the details. You may be thinking of you with more penises and less boobs (well...maybe). Even then differences will start to set in. Either way the question is time scale. Is it "BAM! (opposite sex) version of you, will you date? I need your decision NOW" or "This is the (opposite sex) version of you. You two should talk things over, go about your lives, and maybe get together".

If I would meet myself, we would either try to kill one another, or try and take over the world (pinky and the brain style) and nothing else (no intimacy). It does rises a question of course: if it's alright to jerk off, would it be alright to get jerked off my your other self?

I would not date a female version of myself, because I am generally an unlikable person, and I dislike even people that are considered likable or nice. Also, I think I need am attracted to people featuring opposites to certain aspects of my personality, like: outgoing, friendly, organized (unlike myself).
