yes the internet has given many good things lulz, porn.......(I'm sure ill think of more later). But is it really worth it?

Do you think all the good the internet has given us out-weighs the bad? because as I sat down and thought about this and realized. No, no it hasn't if I had a choice to destroy the internet yes I would be deleting many great things but I would also be erasing atleast 90% of the most disturbing things that have ever been giving life through the internet.

these three words should never ever be used in the same sentence let alone together! for every Yahtzee video down the drain ill be killing a least ten pictures of "tentacle rape". For each well made porn vid ill be deleting 10 weird "dominatrix strapon chin dildo fetish movies". For each hilarious Youtube vid ill be striking down a "fred" video!

Way to lose perspective. The internet has spread more good and bad than any other mode of communication ever. Just because you're bad at avoiding shock-site traps doesn't mean everyone else should bend to your ideas.

Absolutely not. Even with all the porn, the fetishists, the trolls and the Hentai, the internet still deserves to live. It's a huge depository of information and a gigantic hub of entertainment.
It's an entire digital world. Sure, some parts of it are sick, but other parts are good. You can't destroy an entire world because of some nudity or obscenity, it's just unreasonable.

No, no I would not. There's way too much benefit coming from the internet to let a thing like censorship get in the way. The internet has a tonne of cyber-cesspools, but it's a small price to pay for an easilly accessible free-flow of information.

If there's stuff I don't want to see or know about, I avoid it. Simple, efficient fix on the personal level.

Just because there are some things not to my liking, I would not destroy the things that are to my liking or the things which are actively improving the quality of human life. The Internet is not like TV or video games - were someone to go through with it because they dislike "shitting dick nipples" or whatever deviant stuff they find offensive it'd not be like if I decided video games should cease to exist because of a game like Ethnic Cleansing [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_Cleansing_%28video_game%29] or RapeLay [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapelay] exists.

That alone is stupid and reactionary. Add into the fact that the Internet is not purely an entertainment medium (like video games are) and it's dangerous! Thousands of people bank and sell online. Activist groups around the world use it to spread their message! Entire companies are based upon it!

Destroying the Internet would be a horrific act for the sheer amount of damage you'd do to people's financial welfare, as well as to the causes of tons of movements who use it's cheap, easy-utilized nature to give voice to things that would be buried for lack of funding.

So, yeah, no.
