Well, given that to do so is illegal and carries a prison sentence (in the UK at least), and I'm not a character in an Ace Attorney game...I'm going to say no.

if i was in a gang naturally i would lie all the way, or if it was a family member, actually i dont think i wouldn't lie unless its under some extreme circumstance, and that surprises me i thought i was a rather law abiding citizen.

Yes, if I was a member of the mafia, because of the Omerta. Or to protect someone close to me.

If I was defending myself for something I haven't done then No, that would look dodgey.

To protect myself or someone else from prison. Hell yes, I don't owe them a feckin' thing.

Inb4 Ace Att... FUCK, the funny thing about that is at some point in the first Ace Attorney, the judge decides to make a big speech about how noone should ever lie in court, while EVERY WITNESS is just lieing like a ***** with no penalty, it made me lol.

OT: depends on the situation, but i suck at lieing anyway, i can make a good first lie but i always cling to the first lie making more contrived excuses as to why that first point is true, i can never just drop one lie and throw another one in there. (which all the witnesses in AA seem to be masters of)

A lie by omission ("Do you remember what happened that night?" "No.") to protect a friend I believed to be wrongly accused, I would do.

Otherwise, on the witness stand as in life, I swear by the goddess Iustitia to remain ever honest in my dealings with people and the world. To lie is against my religious beliefs (and oh by the way, for all you Christians out there, yours too.)

While the possibility is EXTREMELY remote, I'd have to go with yes since I can think of at least one occasion that I would lie... And that would be to protect someone I love..

I would rather break my mother's heart on the witness stand for five minutes than spend multiple years in prison.

Social kinks are much easier to work out than federal punishment.

No, because someone would inevitably find a discrepancy in my testimony and do horrible law-based things to me shortly thereafter.

In reality, i probably wouldn't but i'd like to think i would if i felt i needed to for whatever reason. i.e. saving a friends ass or saving my own ass.
