If I didn't the prospect of the things that may have been would haunt me until the day I die. So yes I would, as you say, go down the rabbit hole.

My mum and dad would freak the fuck out that I'd gone missing, and I'd feel really shitty for as long as I lived there, knowing how my parents would be feeling.

If it's one of those Narnia things where like a year in the fantasy world is a second in the real one, then sure, I would.

Do they have Scotch? my answer to your question relies entirely on your answer to mine.

I'd follow the rabbit. Currently, I'm an impotent nothing with good ideas up the wazoo that will never be criticlly considered or even recognized. If I follow the rabbit, I'll enter an unknown world where I will be as foreign a sight to them as they are to me and I can therefore pass myself off as the messiah and get my personal viewpoints seen as the word of God.

Of course, in the Matrix question I would say no. I much prefer being blissfully ignorant and living (somewhat) comfortably than living a life exiled in hell while knowing the secrets of the universe.

Realistically? I think not.
I'd probably assume I was drugged or am going crazy, so I'd try to get back and find professional help as quickly as possible.

Hell ya son!! Let me put it this way, if a wormhole my size appeared in front of me, I'd jump in. It could lead me to the center of the sun or a awesome parallel universe, I'd take that risk.

I would without hesitation. Things like this interest me and I'm always the curious one. I would kick myself every day for not going.

I would go.

Then I'd realize that I missed my family and I would desperately want to go home. The hell they would have to go through once I was declared missing would be torture too, I'm sure. The worst thing is, they wouldn't be able to have any closure. No suspects, no body. Their only daughter missing for (what could be) the rest of their lives while she selfishly strolled around Wonderland or the Matrix or Marvel -goddamn- Universe.

I love my parents and I would be a terrible person for putting them through that.

I'd still put them through it, though.

No. As long as there's something waiting for me here, I'd rather regret something I didn't do than something I did. Sure, I'll never know what would have happened, but at least I know I won't be stuck there.

In other words, i disagree with you NeutralDrow.

If a kiss raised the possibility of my never returning home, I'd better have already had enough time to build a relationship with whoever it is. Big difference between maybe screwing up a friendly relationship and taking the blue pill.

I've been down the rabbit hole, and it was not a good place.

That shit stays in your system for years and I don't recommend it to anyone.
