It's certainly better, but let's be honest, that's not terribly hard given that the image we have of Tali isn't exactly based on a unique racial concept, which is was especially damning in this case due to how much effort the character designers had put into other races. We saw unique and well differentiated races - both striking and memorable - across the board. We saw
Batarians,
Elcor,
Volus,
Rachni,
Krogan,
Salarians,
Turians,
Hanar,
Vorcha,
Drell,
Protheans and
Asari, all unique, all instantly recognizable. Seriously my hat is off to the people who developed the races because they made a very diverse galaxy. And then we get...
this for the Quarians? Sorry but no, that looks less like a unique race than it does a human with cybernetic implants who had a bad accident in woodshop class. To me, that's the real sticking point about that picture, it looks far too similar to humans, with even the Asari (without question the most humanlike race before this reveal) look far more alien than Tali's picture did, which makes it all the more surprising that nobody in-game mentions the similarity, with the Quarians and Asari being the two most likely candidates for a double-take reaction.
I have to say though, I would be disappointed with the above image as well, as it seems derivative of the Asari's design, which we can't justify with common descent due to how the two races aren't even based in the same amino acids.
