I would prefer it, it actually doesn't look exactly like a human (you'd think someone would have mentioned how similar the races look at some point...). Looks like it has hair, which is good because while Mass Effect has done a good job of making their aliens distinct but human-like just removing hair appears to be one of their main and overused ways of doing so. Not a massive fan of that specific face, and the Quarians could be better, but very much acceptable.
I would prefer not to see her face after everything it never came up in my game just removing the mask, it's a very small part of the game if you go male and romance her.
The things that have been said about it on the dev side seems like they never really planned what quarians actually look like just the suits which probably applies to the volus as well but not as many seem interested in their looks as well...

Better than the one used in the actual game.
Not really ideal though - given the dry nature of Rannoch, doesn't really seem to fit (looks more like she'd be suited for a wet, ocean-y planet), but better than "basically, human but fewer fingers and some lines".

I don't love it, but at least effort was put into making that face. Bioware copy-pasting some random Google image is, at least for me, pretty unforgivably lazy.
No, it technically doesn't impact the main game at all but that's not the point. Now that I know the truth, it's so damn distracting that I cannot look at Tali in the same way again.
