If I did, it would greatly change Earth. I might have not even be born if Hitler was killed.

WWDSD?

That is what I ask when confronted by questions like this.

What would Demolition Squid do?

I guess I'd need to steal construction equipment...

Without hitler the allies might of had to fight the soviet union instead which if youve ever played command and conquer red alert isnt that good, and tbh yes was a dark chapter but we got through it and were better because of it.

Killing Hitler is pointless, and even dangerous: if not for his idiocy, the Nazis might have won. I'd rather go back to the sixties and prevent JFK assasination, that guy had much going for him.

Ever heard of the butterfly effect? You kill Hitler , but how can you be sure someone like Goebbels doesn't take up power instead of him , and doesn't make the mistakes Hitler made that lost him the war.

No, I wouldn't. Not because I care about baby Hitler, but because a Hitler was destined to exist. If it wasn't Hitler who waged WWII, then it would have been someone else, and we're fairly lucky our Hitler happened BEFORE nuclear weaponry came into existence.

Also, I don't like the idea of disturbing the timeline of the universe. Seems to me there could be a serious snowball effect if one were to kill an important historical figure before he could achieve what he is supposed to achieve. Whether this effect is good or bad remains to be said, but I believe it is better to be safe than sorry.

I would not. I have a philosophy that time is unchangeable, in the sense that anyone who has gone into the past has already been there; any time travel action in the past has already taken place. Nothing I would attempt to do to Baby Hitler would result in no alterations to history.

...and if my philosophy is wrong, then I don't want to screw with the space-time continuum.

Nope. Got a baby of my own.

Which doesn't mean I'm not willing to kill a someday-evil baby, it just means I'm only willing to go back in time 18 months. I'm not gonna jeopardize the lil' feller's existence - even if he does ram his hand in my mouth and try to scrape my gums.

No, it would change the world as we know it. While many people died during WWII, the world seemed to come out of it alright, I don't want to take responsibility for maybe opening the door to a worse world.

No because WW2 is part of the cause of my birth (I would go into detail but you would belive it to be too farfetched). Therefore if I did that I wouldn't exist and the world would be completely changed.

hitler was an incompotent leader who stood in the way of his own military conquest on several different occasions, alot of good things came out of that war (no matter how many detestible things did as well) so no, i wouldnt kill him because if i had another member of the nazi party (probably more competent) would have likley risen to power and we could be all speaking german and hailing him as a god (note i myself am part german and know enough german to get by but i was merley turning a phrase) honestly i think hitler was the best enemy we could have asked for an evil enough figurehead to keep the war populer enough to continue, refused to outfit his infantry with good weapons, and insisting on muddying up his own logistics allowing an allied victory. so yeah no i'd never kill hitler history's best as is, and we should never understimate the posotive power of advancement strife and misery have on humanity. also consider, we the (u.s.) have seen much worse wars (in my opinion the civil war, and WWI were much, much worse what with the lack of medication and increse in wepons tech(cartridge rounds, and machine guns respectivly))

Ok, lets assume that one day you wake up with extremely limited time-travel powers and the only way to gain the full extent of your time-traveling powers is to travel back to January 1, 1890 in Germany and confront baby Hitler

What would you do in this situation?

Would you kill Baby Hitler?
Would you just take your full upgrade and leave?
Would you do something else?

I WANT TO KNOW!

also if you choose option 3 please elaborate in your post
if you choose another option elaborate anyways
If I take the full upgrade, then I can logically kill Hitler at my leisure. I could just warp to when/where he is 18 and kill him then.

Didn't red alert cover what would happen if hitler never rose to power?.

And didnt that end up ending where we have George Takei (Mr Sulu) Running things. (never finished red alert 3).
