So would you mind if your girlfriend/boyfriend was better?
Me? As long as he isn't an ass about it, it wouldn't bother me.

Since this scenario involves me HAVING a significant other, I'm certainly not going to say yes.

Nope. I'd find a game sooner or later in which I'd be better than her, anyway. And besides, as long as we're having fun, I don't mind getting my arse kicked.

There are people better at gaming than me. There are people who I will date. There is bound to be overlap. So no.

I wouldn't mind at all. If she really is better at it than me then maybe I could learn something from her.

My significant other would be a girl and girls and never better than me at ANYTHING EVER!!!

Haha she is better than me at Words w/ Friends tho, so I rub it in when I beat her once in awhile.

If you answer yes, you need to have some serious alone time to examine yourself as a person.

I'm just waiting for the people who say it is imperative that anyone they go out with must also be gamers.

How much better?

If it was enough to keep things competitive, I'd prefer it.

If she just completely destroyed me every outing, it would kill my spirit a little bit.

Bear in mind I'm currently single, and almost none of my friends regularly play games either. So hell, I'd just be grateful to have a girlfriend who was into gaming, I wouldn't give a damn if she was better at it than me :p.

Good f*cking God. What kind of question is this? First of all, why would you resent your partner for being more skilled than you are? And since when has gaming been considered a laudable skill?

Not at all. I think it's a perfect excuse to get better at the games she plays, increasing the common ground between us. Mind you, I've never had a girlfriend, but it's nice to dream.

There are people who think that way, my boyfriend got a few snarky remarks from some friends when we were talking about a game in which I helped him when he was stuck. They said something about being manly and all >.>

I do not believe I would. That said, my own experience indicates that such a thing is unlikely. There are certainly women who are better at games than me. It would simply appear I do not date them.

I wouldn't mind it, although it is nice to win every once and a while. Losing ALL the time sucks

My last girlfriend was way better at me in fighting games. But I often had to help her out with puzzles in games. But no, I don't mind.

I'd be more than happy actually having a girlfriend, let alone one that plays videogames better than me.
