OT: Well first off, ^this^. Secondly, if I did have a significant other/partner/spouse/whatever, then as long as s/he wasn't an arse about it than where's the issue beyond insecurities I don't have? It'd actually be nice, because I'm really competitive, so it'd be fun to have a goal to strive for.

I've been in that spot actualy.
My last GF was better at counter strike then me.
I did not mind much, sinse we played together in the same clan, and it was not as if I could not kill her at all. In the end she just (nearly) always had a better score then me. (kill/death ratio)

Considering the amount of competitive games I currently play is getting smaller every day I wouldn't care at all. I'm good enough to keep 99% of all narratives flowing and almost always pull out positive in multiplayer. Having someone pick up the controller for me would actually be pretty cool.
Firstly, I would just be happy to have a significant other, and one into gaming no less.

I'm better at Katamari, though. And I have more patience for RPGs and tactics games.
