No, I would never pay a subscription fee to play Call of Duty online. I already need to pay a subscription to have x-box live, I should no need to pay a subscription to play Call Of Duty online.

Play to play an unbalanced glitchy mess of a game? No thanks, the worry though is there's loads of people who will, possibly enough to make other developers start thinking about it..

Straight from Redmond:

Xbox Support: RT @fourzerotwo MW2 subscription plan rumors going around. For the record, nobody has to pay to play COD or MW2 multiplayer, nor will they.

Me: @XboxSupport So are you confirming that no one will have to pay to play MW2 multiplayer at any point, or telling @fourzerotwo that we won't?

Xbox Support: @MILLANDSON Yes you will not need to pay anything more than your Xbox 360 Gold membership. ^SM

So, at least according to Microsoft Support, there will be no sub fees.

Why pay for a meh game when I can play TF2 for free?
ur a mac? ... well either way I agree. TF2 is far superior to iw's mess in style, functionality and replayability. Paying to play over time has always just been idiotic to me. Therefore, my MMO of choice is GW. I pay once, I play forevAR.
I'm not entirely sure how what I said makes me a mac?
TF2 was free for a week or so after steam became available for macs. I meant no offense.

I'd imagine if this plan went ahead, Battlefield will get a lot of new players.
They should go through with that plan then. It's hilarious to see a COD player playing Battlefield.

OT: I don't play MW.

Absolutely no way in hell.
I liked MW2 until I realized they had virtually abandoned it after release, leaving bugs and glitches unfixed for weeks, and not bothering to fix some at all. Then they have the nerve to start releasing map packs?
I have no faith in their ability to maintain their games. I won't be buying any more CoD games, and I sure as hell won't pay extra for that kind of shitty service.

I won't even pay thirty bucks once for a CoD game, let alone a subscription...

Wow, this poll makes Kotick's idea look reeeeeeally bad. Even worse than usual.

I didn't take any offense, but it was portal that was free. I don't think TF2 has ever been free.

Depends, alot of my friends play CoD and i know that a few of them would pay the fee. However i'm not a massive CoD fan i play it often but i could easly give it up if the fee is something like maybe £5 i'll consider paying it just to keep playing with my mates if it's anything higher then i won't pay it. I also play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and that could easily satisfy my FPS needs and also Halo: Reach and Medal of Honor are out soon and they are both FPS's i'm interested in.
