I want to change my Xboxlive name but I haven't because it costs 10 bucks, same would for my PSNID. I don't care enough to pay to change it.

Really? I made a UK account to get the Heavy Rain demo early, even though I knew it was going to be as boring as it looked, and I can still access it on my other account.

Curently you can't on PSN, guess that's why the topic was started. I'm fine with mine though I guess it'd be nice to have the option to change it but if it was free people could abuse it like they we're Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Being a nice and serious one moment and psycho team killer the next.

It's fairly easy to make a new account and just start over though.

With the Xbox, stats are everything. With the PS3.... Not so much.

I spend my money on better things than names. Like junkfood, new games and parts for my car when they break. My PSN name is not childish and I never will change it. Just like I will probably never change my Escapist username or my Youtube username (which are the same).

Because its created as an email address and a storage point for all your achievements and any other online knock knacks. While the process isn't costly, or even hard to make the necessary changes it is still annoying to constantly have to update every instance of your old accounts name on every single server and reference to your account.

I would pay... only because I kinda have this sickness of looking good ingame. lol my current psn is omgitznick yah my name is nick and i came up with this a few years ago but now im getting kind of sick of it.. i made a new japanese psn so i could change my name whenever i want if i'll ever get tired of it but i still dont play on it lol cuz my old omgitznick account is old and has lots of stuff lol.. plus if ill ever want to buy a DLC ill have to pay by YEN with the japanese account LOL

what do you guys think about my current psn? it sure is all lowercase and stuff but i think its unique and original lol but sometimes i feel like its stupid.. cuz i always wanted to have a name like "Stark" or "Storm" or some cool stuff like that but it's.. TAKEN -_-


edit: what frustrates me is that my friends irl and stuff sometimes copy me -_- like omgitzjosh or omgitzkevin or w.e lol annoying biters..

Nope. Mostly because I like my PSN name. It's been my internet identity since I was 15 and no-one else seems to use it.

LOL there are alot of games that you cannot transfer ur save data and u CANNOT transfer ur trophy data at all, making a new account is like being born once again.
