The poll says it. I'm curious what others would do. I'm not going to say what my answer is, but I've asked friends and I've gotten a mix of responses and they're all interesting. I want to see what you all say.

Statements.

Because you can ask a question with a statement if you need to.

"Where are the toilets?
"I need you to tell me where the toilets are."

"Would you like something to eat?"
"We can get some food if you want to."

"Will you marry me?"
"I would be honoured and delighted if you would take me as your husband."

Etc etc.

Questions
Because everything is more interesting if you answer questions with questions.

"Hey dude are you hungry?"
"The question is, when am I not hungry?"

"Oh my god is the patient going to make it?"
"Why wouldn't he?"

If you're good enough at it you become the goddamn riddler.

Well, if I can still ask questions in my head, to myself, and try find the answers, then make statements about that, then I'd take the statement one.

Statements. Simple and boring, but they work every time. There isn't a single question that can't be turned into a statement with roughly 90% of the same meaning.

"Are you okay?"
"I would like to know if you are currently fine."

"Isn't it?"
"I doubt if it is."

"Right?"
"I require confirmation."

"Would you like some fries with that?"
"There are also fries we could give you. Or not. Make your choice."

"Would you like us to operate on your tumour?"
"We could operate on your tumour. Or not. Up to you."

"WHAT???"
"I am very startled right now."

Like a few people above me said, I would rather statements. They can easily be turned into questions, and the other person would answer them like they were real questions.

Statements can be asked as questions too.
Most easily by abusing the form of "Did you know..."

I'd abuse rhetoric to make statements in questions. Was that really the point of the thread though or were we going deeper?

Why wouldn't one want to learn, and to teach all the better in this world of confusion?

Is life truly a statement expressed by our actions, or is it a never ending question to that which surrounds us?
Is it better to state what limited knowledge you have, or to ever strive to gain more insight?

Is my decision not clear, and are my arguments for the question not valid?

I guess my only problem is: with statements, suddenly you're not asking, but telling people what to do. "I would like to know where the bathroom is" Someone can just ignore that thinking you are kind of crazy. If you walk up to a person and as "Do you know where the bathroom is?" they would probably be much more likely to reply.

This is more or less what I thought as well. I mean: If you just state things, you may not be able to get the answers you need all the time. With questions though, yes, they can be ignored, but they are probably more likely to be answered. .

Idk, I just like this question cause I thought it could be rather deep.

Yeah, you would have to ask questions all day.
Thought-provoking, deep questions, such as:

"You want fries with that?"
"Coke or DIET Coke?
"Welcome to BurgerDonalds, how may I be of service?"
