You have a choice of three superpowers, you have to choose one:

1: Flying at sonic speeds, but you receive no training, you have to learn how to use it

2: Superspeed but there are no proper breaks

3: Teleportation, but you have to have been to the place you are teleporting to and there is a 0.05% chance that you will teleport inside a wall.

Flying, absolutely everytime ever.

You could even factor in a 20% chance that I would veer off into a pile of manure every 5 seconds and I would still go for the manure-covered flight experience over superspeed and teleporting or any other power, any day.

Flying, always flying.

I would probably pick flight over most superpowers, given the choice.

I just love the idea of being able to soar.

I'll take flight, it sounds far more fun than the other two and while teleportation would be useful, I'm rather iffy about that 1/2000 chance of appearing in a wall. What even happens then? Am I just stuck there until I teleport away or would it cut me in half? :-/

Torn between flight and teleportation. Flight would get me discovered sooner or later and I'd rather keep it a secret. Teleportation can work secretively, and I don't mind having to have visited the place I'm teleported to so long as I know how to work around the wall issue.

Hello again. Long time, no see!

I'd have to take flying at sonic speeds as well; I'd love to be able to zoom past the Eiffel Tower, the Seven Sisters, Everest and Ayer's Rock. What an experience it would be to see them from that angle...

Flight for me too. Teleportation would be cool but not worth it for the limitations you gave and it seems more dangerous than flying.

I'd go for teleportation, but what exactly happens when I'm in a wall, do I just die or something? I'm too lazy to fly.

Nah, you you just telefrag it. Let the owner worry about it.

I would go for teleporting. Imagine that: I don't have to walk to the bus-stop anymore!

Flying. Funny thing though, I've had lucid dreams where I tried to fly. I could manage it a little bit, but it almost always ended with me crashing.

Still, it was really cool even in the dreams, so I'll take it.

What's up with this Pro-Flying agenda, huh? What are your true motifs, Mr. Pollman?
Teleportation for me. By my rules.

Flying sound the best given to the cons of the three.

Teleportation is too risky even when that odd is super low (I'm not much of a gambler) and the problem I have with the concept of superspeed is that you need to wear a protective suit otherwise you tear your feet and the rest of your body from falling and tumblering at superspeed.

The way I see with flying at sonicspeed but with no pior training is that I would try to trained myself by simply flying straight up and down which I hoped it will be safe enough (worse case when doing that is that I either fly straight into the atmosphere or plummet myself to death when flying back down). Granted I will be wearing warm clothing and probably try to find an isolated area so no one can see my when flying straight up.

Flying only because of the limitations you put on them, otherwise it would be teleporting. Heck I could live with have to have been there, as long as it doesn't have a random instant death problem.

Definitely teleportation. ALthough if there were no way of working around that insta-death problem, I“d pick flying instead. The probability is small but I“d be using it so often that sooner or later, it would happen...

In this situation I'd pick flying.

Super-speed is only useful if you get all the accompanying abilities that make super-speed possible without killing yourself, like the ability to think at the same speed that you're moving, and infinite endurance.

Teleportation also seems really cool, but anyone who has ever played an RPG with probability based attacks knows that probability is bullshit. If I can miss 4 95% chance attacks in a row in X-com then I really don't like my chances of not teleporting into a wall at some point.

Actually, you know what, scratch that, I'd still pick super-speed, I'd just run slightly faster than humanly possible and become the world's greatest athlete.

It was a tough call between Teleportation and Flying, but I was put off a bit by "have to have been there before" and also that 0.05% of messy death. I'd still be really nervous every time I use it.

Once I learn to fly then that's that - I can fly. And that sounds awesome.

Normally I'd pick teleportation but you just had to give a limitation...

Flying. The other options will get me killed eventually.

Flying sounds like the best option, but I do want to be clear:

2. You mean "brakes," I assume. I'm not a grammar nazi, this just stopped me for a beat. Does this simply mean you can't stop on a dime, or something more sinister?

3. what happens if you teleport into a wall?
