Well that would be boring, if I just reset as it was I would make no different decisions.

But if I kept my knowledge, hohoho, school would be piss easy, I would be swimming in punany and I'd make a killing on the stock market... now that would be sweet.

Go through this shit again, and not be able to see the shit I've done up 'till now come to fruition?
No thanks.

What would be the point restarting your life without any of the knowledge you have amassed so far? Odds are, if you restarted as a blank slate again then you would just end up living your life the same way you are now. Hell, by this logic, any of us could have already restarted our lives multiple times without knowing it.

The Poll doesn't really fit with the question.

I'd say even though I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, those mistakes have define who I am today, so I'm kinda happy I made them. So no I wouldn't restart or change anything.

Given the knowledge of what I've done so far, I would change a few things, so yes.
Unfortunately, losing all memory just seems to make me live through the way I already did, which would end up with me then making the choice to go back again, which would be a time loop. So, both answers in the poll come out the same.

I wouldn't. It would be pointless if I couldn't remember my old life.

If I could remember though then I would only do one thing differently as long as I still ended up where I am now.
I would have told a kid from my primary school who treated me like crap for about 6 years of my life to go throw himself of a cliff on the last day of school we spent together.
I regret not doing that.
He was a supreme out of this world dick head.

I agree with most of the folks here. Only if it's a NewGame+ life. I've often thought to myself, or maybe fantasized is the right word, that if I could go back to the start or at least to a time before I started making decisions that would have far reaching consequences, and could also retain at least some of the experience that has put me where I am now, I would do so in a heartbeat. I would be lying if I said the choices I've made in my life have put me in a good situation.

But if I'm just going back with no recollection at all, then what's the point? I would just make all the same mistakes over again, and end up in the same place eventually. Only I'd be farther away from fixing the things I've messed up. I'd rather just keep going now and try to make better the life I've left myself. :)

That being said, I wouldn't mind doing high school over again. It was a blast, even if I didn't always realize it at the time.

P.S. I didn't click an option in the poll, since neither option is really applicable, for reasons stated above.

Why would I want to do it if I don't have my memories? It's be the exact same shit all over again. First time a pet dies, first time a relative dies, first Devil May Cry 5 trailer ... no, fuck that noise!

If I got the option to do a Fallout 3-style early life review, then yeah, that could be fun.

Come to think of it, why don't we get to pick our S.P.E.C.I.A.Ls IRL? That would be sweet.

But if it was a straight reset, as in, no memories, no experiences, then no, I'd have to make-do with my current life.

If I didn't retain my memory, there would be no point.

If the clock turned back, my life would be exactly the same. If I was reborn now, I might as well just be a different person. If my memory was gone, I wouldn't be able to correct my many past mistakes. My answer is no, I would not restart my life with these conditions.

That being said, I'd be more than willing to restart my life if I kept my knowledge and memories.

Of course I wouldn't start over, I don't think I've gotten to the really good part yet.

If I had no memory of previous life, then no. I would just make the same mistakes again.

Now it would be a different story if I knew where I went wrong, and how to correct myself.

Nah, way to young, haven't made near enough mistakes that I will make eventually to start over now.

Then I'd just make the same mistakes all over again, so I don't see the point. ._.

Edit; I notice it was already mentioned a couple of times... :D

Hell no. My life isn't particularly blissful and amazing, but I'm perfectly happy with it.

So, wait, what's the point then? If we have no foreknowledge, then aren't we simply doomed to make the same mistakes time and time again?

/edit
I should really read through threads more. :p

If you had the chance to restart your life from the very beginning would you do it?
Why would you do it and what would you do differently?
(You have no memory of your previous life and are born under the same circumstances.)
If everything is the same and you have no memory of your previous life, nothing would be different. You wouldn't be able to change anything, because everything would proceed exactly as it did before, because on a macroscopic scale events are deterministic.

On a quantum scale things would proceed differently, but those I believe don't add up to enough change such that the chemical reactions between neurons would change.
