Maybe when I get old they've taken some real steps developing games for elderly. Who knows?
You do realize that you'll probably enjoy the same games when you're 60 that you do right at this moment, right? Our current elderly population never grew up with games, so why, given how conservative older people tend to become, should they like them at all?

OT: Of course I will. I'm going to show my grandkids the ropes on Counter-Strike. Except that FPS's will probably play decidedly different in 60 years. :(

Actually I kinda don't want to think about being 70 because by then Tarn Adams will probably have died without finishing Dwarf Fortress which is just depressing to think about.

No no no! When I'm old I'll suddenly like listening to fifties music and watching Saving Private Ryan over and over.

I don't really think this is much of a question - why *would* you stop gaming when you're older? If you do it now, why not just continue (unless medical reasons stop you, but you're asking *would* you still game, not *could*)? It would be like asking today's pensioners when they were younger "do you think you'll still listen to the radio when you're older?".

Ok, actually I already like fifties music, but I don't like watching the same movie over and over.

Fuck yes I will. Hell, once I'm retired, that's probably going to be most of what I do. That, and reading books. And watching TV. And keeping the house and yard tidy. And being an all-around sexy mofo because I have no intention of letting my body decay any more than is inevitable.

This is assuming that I live that I actually live that long.

They'll have to pull the plug to get me to stop gaming.

On life support, not the console.

Not sure actually. I would like to think of the scenario that in the future I will hold a furious LAN-party at "the home". Though concerning that I'm starting to loose my interest in games at the age of 18, I leave that question with a "only time will tell".

Hell yes. I can't wait to see what they will have done to the medium by then. Observing human progress is one of my main reasons for staying alive.

I've ALREADY got games I play for nostalgia's sake. I am certain that I will still play video games when I'm old and grey.

I am closer to 60 years old than I am 30 years old and given that I have not stopped gaming since I was 12, then yes, I will still be gaming in my 60s.

On a slightly more serious note, I doubt it. If I do in retirement what I've spent my earlier years doing, I've failed at retirement.
If you were a reader would your retirement be a failure if you still enjoyed reading?

Why would your hobby change in retirement?

Depends on the quality of the games.

When the games are shit I won't play'em, but if there are some good games, then I'll be the gaming granddad, pwning players and NPCs of all ages... :D

I'm going to play until the day I die and probably longer than that assuming my mind is uploaded onto a computer. I would say that I would be buried with my handhelds but I plan on being cremated...maybe my ashy remains can be made into a chip of some sort...

I hope so, but I don't know for sure. Depends on how gaming has evolved by then. (And if I live long enough... [sub]stupid heart-disease...[/sub])

I'd like to think I would. It's just like reading or watching TV. Now, that all depends on what gaming is like then. I might be one of those crotchety old fogeys that refuse to play anything but his then ancient Playstation 8 or whatever.
