Poll: Would you take advice from your future self? (Read First)

A hypothetical question guys:

You suddenly won £10,000,000 from somewhere (where is not important). Its totally legit. Just as you were about to accept the money your future-self appears from a portal or something with a warning: "Dont take the money it will ruin your life and others around you" Your future self jumps back into the portal and disappears.

Would you take the money?

Future Me knows better than to tell me not to do something. He'd likely have come back because he knew if I had warning about how it could ruin my life, I could work to avert the disaster to come.

Yup, I'd still take the money. Now that I know that something bad might happen I'd be extra-super cautious and not take stupid risks or spend it all in one place (like Vegas or whatnot). And if something bad still happens... well, at least I went down feeling happy and rich.

Totally. I mean, if the future isn't predetermined then I can take the money knowing I'll have to be careful with it, as in one possible universe it ruined my life - forewarned is forearmed. On the other hand, if the future is predetermined then I have to take the money as my future self did.

Besides, it would seem that one of the things I bought with my £10,000,000 was a time machine, and that's gotta count for something.

Yes, for the simple reason that the "future" me's past, which WOULD have been my present, is now quite a bit different. Change in the time continuum = change in future. How's that for multiple time-line physics?

Knowing myself, the future me would probably be trying to pull a fast one on the present me, so I would take the money... I couldn't imagine anything worse then having a vendetta against yourself for something the future you did to you which basically fucked up your life :3 THAT MADE SENSE!

I can't trust myself even in the present so i differnantly wouldn't trust my future self. I would be cautious with the money and give some to chairity possibly. Not much can go wrong from an anoumouyous money giving to say a hospital.

If I don't take the money, then I may not have the bad experiences that lead me to travel back in time and warn my past self not to take the money. If I don't do that then he'll take the money which could well ruin his life.
