... why would anyone want to go on a mission to another planet if they never actually got the new planet?
If I had the chance to go to a new planet, I would not care which kind or how far away from earth it is (as long as I get there alive)

..only if you got to visit an Earth-like planet? OPTION #1

...if you got to see any planet, including sandy desert or toxic wasteland? See any planet? Not live on it what?

THESE DRAWBACKS APPLY TO ALL THE ABOVE?

...even if it took decades to reach the planet and you'd be an old woman or man by the time you got there?

...even if it took hundreds of years and you know you'd be dead long before even coming close to your destination?

I'd only go if I thought that I could live a much better life than the one I'd have if I were on Earth. So I doubt that I'd go, but I wouldn't mind if I did.
