so basically you're asking if I want to be a salarian, YES! I don't mind missing out on my "golden years" I'm a genius, they'll freeze my brain to save humanity for the coming robot wars.

I'd do it, because with my greater intelligence, I might be able to figure out how to live longer anyway. Or perhaps beat the system that gave the the intelligence in exchange for 25 years of my life. (Since that's vague, I don't know if it's being given by some sort of being or a machine or what. But almost anything can be beaten, really. You just have to know what the consequences are. Scientists actually know how to make humans live forever right now. The downside? You end up as a giant ball of nothing but cancer cells. Not a life worth living, but still, it's possible.)

Damn it I was going to say that!

OT: I wouldn't, I'm happy with my intelligence level, it's higher then most, but not high enough to make me overly philosophical and existential and thus depressed.

If I get any smarter than I am now I'll probably be even more miserable. There's a reason people say ignorance is bliss... It's because it is. From my experience being smarter has made me a hell of a lot less happy. So... No.

Well sure. I spend too much time working anyway, being naturally good at things will make it all much easier. By things I specifically refer to music, I spend hours and hours on about 15-30 seconds of music, If I can speed that whole process up, make it better in general, then life's a bed of roses anyway. Oh, and not studying as much for physics and stuff would be lovely.

No.

Why?

Better to be stupid and having fun then bored out of my huge genius brain

The only Yahtzee saying I ever quote.

Well I want to live to 108, so unless my super-genius would enable me to create medication or whatever to extend my life up to that age (while retaining sanity) then not really.

Although the intelligence does sound fairly attractive........hmm.......

No, because I have an above average IQ as it is (so they tell me at least) and I'd rather have the chance of living to where life-extension technology gets to the point of letting me live for a very long time.
True, However would if you got smarter then you in turn help invent life-extension technology
30 years earlier.

Short, intelligent life. Find ways to enjoy life more in the shorter time. Also use intelligence to find way to live longer.

... is that like wishing for more wishes?

no. i know my life is short enough, and if i was greater intelligence, i'm going to work for it. i'm about to go to school for Video Game Development, and they suggest i have some Calculus under my belt, and i've only gone up to Algebra 2, so i'll be working harder than most, but it'll be worth it. learn someting hard in a short time. good way to boost intelligence right there =P

Why would I want to live to be old? Might as well make the most of the years that I'll actually be enjoying life.

My IQ is already borderline genius level.

My time is precious.

Hell no I wouldn't trade my life for a high IQ. That isn't even a very good test of intelligence anyway. George W. Bush has a fairly high IQ, we all saw how intelligent he was.

I like my intelligence the way it is right now.

But not having to live to be all old and crusty is a plus.

No. Because your question is incorrect. Even your explanation isn't particularly well stated. I understand what you are asking though.

Also, I am already really smart, so I don't need to trade anything for something I already have.
