Poll: Would you try a Zebra steak?

Zebra's are all messed up for me, guys. When I was a kid my mom would take my brother and I to Mexico for a day since it was just a short ride away from our place near San Diego. First time I'd ever seen a zebra, or so I'd thought. Turns out they were donkeys that had been painted to look like zebras. So in my mind asking about Zebra is like asking if I'd eat a donkey, and I can't eat a donkey any easier than I could eat a dog.

I've seen people mention buffalo here. Never tried the stuff, but I know they've created beefalo, which someone once told me was okay. Personally, there something too unnatural about that for my blood.

Depends on how it looks. If it looks like hamburger meat, maybe, but I am just picky in general so its not cause it is a Zebra.

You know, they make dog food that looks like ground beef, but is made of horses.

They also have bacon for dogs, and fish for cats, and milk too. Does that make it gross for us? Its meat, not green goo in a hole.

I think you missed my point. I was just saying that looks can be deceiving. A cat can be ground into a patty, so it would look like "hamburger meat" too. Doesn't mean it's still not a cat.

And MY point is, if it looked like that, I might eat it. If I didnt like it then was told it was Cat, Id say "Huh...guess I dont like cat meat".

So, you don't care what it's made of as long as it resembles ground beef? I had a care provider once that ate dog, though she never exactly explained why, and I don't think she was well traveled (dog as food is not exactly common practice in the US). I guess to each their own, but then I have to wonder what difference it'd make how it looked if you were still willing to eat the animal to begin with.

How it looks does matter. Pork. I will eat bacon, but no other distinctive pork products. Also for the first part, I am willing to eat things if it looks good, but what it is can disgust me, but few if any red meat mammals would make me go eww after. Ofcourse, if it disgusts me in life, it would digust me after. Living zebras dont disgust me, but say....stuff found under rocks...ew.

If i wouldnt be Vegetarian id go for it. In my carnivorous times i tried everything i could get. (gazelle, buffalo, crocodile, ostrich etc)

Nope, would never try it. Not a big fan of meat anyway. Which is annoying since my family love meat =/
