As in would you want the United States to join with Canada and give up sovereignty. Or go back to belonging to England. If yes, pick a nation in the poll. If not, pick that option in the poll.

Voted England for sheer comedy value.

But really? As has been said: they should do what they like in this regard.

Um. There is no "No" answer.

So, bring on all the pointless blind hate towards the United States. Not like there hasn't been enough of the that last couple of days.

EDIT: Well, now there is a "No" answer. There wasn't when I first entered this thread. I wonder what caused that.

I had to edit it because it ate part of my poll but there is an Independence answer.

I ask Canadians to come down and annex my country all the time anyways. Unfortunately, they've all thought I was joking so far... but I'm really not. Please, won't someone from Canada come annex us?

I'm English but I voted for Canada. I think there's less ill feeling there and less distance so they'll assimilate easier.

Being run by the Canadians might do great good for the people of America, universal healthcare for one massive thing. Also, no-one ever gets mad at the Canadians for bombing/murdering innocent people and nations.

Edit, though if the Quebecois get their way it might mean the entire East coast of the U.S. will have to learn French. :p

People really are er, stupid when it comes to America, and no I am not talking about the misinformed view all Americans are stupid it is just that most American's do not realize how spoiled they are and everyone outside does not realize how important the Yank's are.

Even though that does not happen?

No problem. It was just odd seeing you mention there was an independence answer to choose and yet there wasn't one. Wasn't sure if you forgot.

That's what I mean; the Canadians rarely (as far as I know) bomb innocent people, maybe they'll be a good influence on the Americans.

Depends, if you're talking annexation and political submersion with another nation, then no.

But if you're talking about the creation of a Regional power (IE: North American Federation with Mexico and Canada) a unified organization based around political systems and historical alliances (US with Mexico, Canada, England, France, Germany, etc.) or if you're talking about a 'One World' style full unification, then I'd say overwhelmingly Yes.

Hmm .. the concept of 'Manifest Destiny' isn't dead then. And I voted England for the lulz.

"Welcome back, old boy. Now, let's have an altogether more civilised tea party than the last time we tried."

And on a side note, I'm wondering how long it will take for an Oceanic Federation or somesuch to take place .. NZ, Aus, PNG, Solomons, Fiji, Tahiti, etc.

Well you could argue that the invasion of Iraq was entirely under false pretense, but that's been done to death. Instead, here's the most famous video of American soldiers killing undisputedly innocent people, the wikileaks released Collateral Murder.
<youtube=5rXPrfnU3G0>

My favourite part is where they find they've just killed two children and one of the soldiers says "Well, they shouldn't bring their kids into a gunfight" It's their fucking home, you brought the gunfight to them!
