Since mortality is a thing, a question for you. Would you prefer to die in the presence of your loved one, or let them die in your company and save them the grief of your death?

I'd want to die first, and I don't want to sound selfish, but once I die, I won't feel bad for them, I'll be dead.

Well dying sucks... but I think i'd rather my partner go first so that they don't have to go through the loss.

After, I suppose, assuming this applies to my current relationship. If only because I know if I died before my girlfriend would probably do something hopelessly idiotic and melodramatic like kill herself so she could be with me (don't get me wrong, I love her, but she can be a little unstable at times). That, and I wouldn't want any partner I have to feel the pain of my death.

I want to die simultaneously.

Because that's just how I roll.

I going to sound like a tough guy but I'm saying after my partner died. I would like to think I can handle it but in reality I would be devastated but still I would rather take the grief than to let her handle it.

My girlfriend will die before I do. We've known this for as long as we've been together. I'm not happy about it, but it is that way, and I wouldn't want to change it. If I died first, she'd die faster. :(

Before, because I'd rather not face the grief and, presuming that my future life partner would be a stronger person than me, she'd probably get over it quicker than if she died before me.

I suppose I can remain serious for one thread....

Before.

I watched my mum go of cancer and saw what it did to my dad when he was looking after her and after she went.

No way do I want to go through that with my wife. Although on the other hand I don't think I could put her through it either.

Where is the option for "I shall never die for I am INVINCIBLEEEE"

I'm forever alone so I won't have to worry about that. Hypothetically it would depend on who's less crazy. If I'm old/crazy where I need to depend on him I'd want to go first or after if he couldn't live on his own. Or if we aren't old and crazy whoever would deal with it better.

I don't think I'd be able to live without him. Well sure I could, but I'd be very, very unhappy. I imagine if he'd die first, I'd die soon after from a broken heart.

But if I had it my way, we'd both go together in the afterlife, if there is one.

Same time, like others have said.

I can't even conceive of life without my wife. Before we met, we both had pretty shit lives, and are highly dependant upon one another.

I think I would prefer to go first, although it's hard to say.

since I'm pretty heartless bastard, I would want to die last because i won't feel anything about their death but if I die before them then I'll get to cause them grief and that'll be fun so maybe that one assuming I can get a life partner... I'm gonna go get me some hookers, cheerio lads.

Im going with after, since I love more deeply then any woman ive met(excluding motherly love). Id be more caring then waiting for her to kick the bucket then planning what ill do after shes gone
