Poll: Would you want to play as the director in Left 4 dead

I was just thinking about this the other day, imagine a competitive game of left 4 dead where instead of playing as a special infected you get to be the director, You decide when and where zombies come out where a witch is placed etc. Obviously there will be limitations placed, I mean you wouldn't be able to send an unlimited amount of tanks right out of the starting gate to crush the survivors, nor would you be able to withhold medpacks and other such items.

So would you play such a gametype?

Sure, I'd be willing to try it but I doubt I'd play it a lot. Basically, my friends would get the fun of running and gunning and I'd be the one placing units down like a RTS... not much replay value for me.

It'd be fun, but..I've already played director, the limitless control is what makes it a blast and a half.

See, the fun in it, is trying to kill all of your friends, without making them hate you for life! It's a balancing act.

I think it's called Zombie Master, and it was the first thing that came to mind when I read the title of this thread.

I wouldn't mind, but I'd get bored at one point and just spawn 4 tanks at once.

Thought the same thing when I saw the thread title. I couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called though. It honestly sounds like a way to lose friends, just like like Mario Cart.

Mario Cart does destroy alot of friendships Doesn't it? It still be fun though.
