Being the paradoxical creature I am, I don't mind being around people. I have no plans on getting married though. Like a cat, I wander in and out of different circles of friends as I please. I find physical attraction in some but, I have been hurt and know how to be happy on my own. I am also a materialist, and would rather spend my money on myself. Relationships, children, major repairs...these things and many more are guaranteed money pits.

edit: To answer your question though: you are not a sad person, you just know what you want for yourself at this moment in time. You may change your view, you may not. That remains to be seen

Being alone means you don't need to wear clothes which means less time doing laundry and more time doing anything else.

I like being alone, because for one, I don't have to put up with idiots like that.
Although I would love to be in a relationship, it really wouldn't bug me if I wasn't.

Sometimes.

Although I prefer loneliness to certain type of relationships.

And fuck marriage, in all forms.

Yes, very much so. There are a few select people that I like to hang out with from time to time, but if they're around me too much or are too clingy, then I'll try to get as much time to myself as I can.

I find that in solitude I work better, but I really do love hanging out with people. I would also really like a girlfriend and eventually get married, but that is a ways off (the marriage thing, I mean).

I enjoy it. I find being with other people do be a very draining experience. I sometimes like to be with others, but only for short times, otherwise I start to dislike the experience.
Introverts, hell yeah b( -_-)b

OP: my ideal long-term relationship thing would be essentially a friends-with-benefits situation -- me and my girlfriend/boyfriend having separate rooms (separate apartments, even! I'm territorial like you wouldn't believe) and our own things going on, and then periodically we'd have sexy introvert sex and then go back to our own lives. I don't think what you or I or any of the other people in this thread want is depressing at all -- we're all looking for what's good for us personally, and I think that's pretty okay.

I prefer to be hanging around with people but there are times when I would rather be by myself then have to talk to people and stuff.

I have my alone time, and I have my companion time.

At the end of the day, or when I'm pissed off is usually my alone time, while the school-day is usually my companion time.

Plain and simple.

What's depressing is that people think you need to be eternally bound to someone through law and vows rather than actual attraction and mutual appreciation of one another. You aren't sad, they are. They are EPICALLY and incredibly sad. The world would be better off without them. To think you need to be married or you are lonely, that's pathetic. I find you're poll options insulting.

Since i always was a loner, i'd be tempted to say yes, but... being alone is not as SUPERMEGAAWESOMECOOL as it's cracked up to be by many losers on the Internet. It's tolerable, and sometimes even fine, mind you. But you simply won't understand how much true friends are worth unless you live your whole life without them.

But i don't think i'll get married too, that's an entirely different (and much more annoying) sort of deal than friendship.

In short, you definitely need more poll options. Definitely.

I like being alone, but I also have a great appreciation for my friends. It's important to balance the two out.

I hope to find my other half someday. Right now though everyone around me outside my family I want to hit. So I'm content being alone...for now anyway.

I much enjoy the company of myself. I hate people. :)

You know, now that I think of it, I think I would've said something like this to her: "Oh, no, I'm never alone. The voices are always with me... Always..."

There needs to be a "sometimes" option in the poll - I enjoy being alone every now and then, but continuously being alone for extended periods of time can get rather depressing.

I'll admit that people just need to be alone most of the time and I enjoy being alone somewhat, claiming that being alone is better than being with others is a bit of a silly claim in my book.

Sesame street is over there ->

"True friends stab you in the front".
