Okay, how about this. I have the common sense to not run around whining about how I want to play God of War on my PC, and you just said most RPGs, let alone WoW, work way better on it, now why do people not have the common sense to not whine about it being PC only? Obviously, it's because they love their little consoles so much, they think anything and everything can and should be played on them.

By the way, I play console games once in a while, the ones that are suited for them. I just can't stand the severe short-sightedness of some people.
That's a good example. I think that's totally fair and I agree with you I get annoyed when people do that too. It just has a lot to do with human psychology, when people really, really like some thing they stick to it and in this case want every single game to be for oh, lets say the PS3, but some games just don't work on consoles like WOW even if they got the controls figured out it still wouldn't feel the same. It's kind of like saying a DS touchscreen game would be better on an Xbox. Some games just don't work for console and some games just don't really work for PC, that's how it is.

I probably wouldn't play it one way or another, so I can't say I really care all that much. Honestly, I wouldn't be against it though.

Hmm, in most cases a console controller would simply not have enough buttons for proper raid level play. Except for the current arcane mage build since you can play one with only a 2 button rotation. Alternately you could just spam one skill if you didn't need to worry about mana.

B) thier were no monthly fees
Why do people always complain about 15 bucks a month? You're ready to pay 60 or more dollars a year for Xbox live which only really gives you the ability to PLAY games online and nothing more. 15 dollars a month for wow is more than reasonable when you take into account 1) Bandwidth costs 2) manpower to run servers and 3) Content updates every 2 months or less.

I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't work, so I voted yes.

Left thumbstick represents WASD
Right thumbstick represents camera
Left-trigger is Alt (self-cast)
A, B, X, Y, RB, LB are spells 1-6
Right-trigger sets up a secondary assignment of spells 1-6
D-Pad selects other party members 1-4
Right-trigger and d-pad lets you swap through the remaining raid members

You'd only get screwed when it comes to anything greater than 10-mans, which are pretty much extinct at this point.
so you got the controlls for 12 spells...

Now look at this screenshot.
Does this look like 12 spells is enough?

(random picture from google, so don't come bugging me on how my keybinding suck, or why the picture has it's wand on position 1. )

Way too complex to be made into a console game, not to mention that the enormous time-suck just wouldn't be possible due to the way that people play consoles as opposed to PC's.

Maybe you can just scratch by using a controller while leveling, but any sort of end game PVP or PVE would be impossible.

Agree with Rednog, i mean i have to use a pretty heavy set of keybinds alongside the usual UI to feasably cast all my healing spells, and thats with a keyboard. So anything beyond level 10's skill set would be out the window.

Sure you can dream of a console MMO, but the only one i can ever remember was FF XI and we all know how that turned out.

Also on a side note, if you had played WoW prior to the expansions you'd know level 60 was the cap level so only reaching 58 wouldn't be such a minor feat.

Lastly, MMOs, like the noble RTS belong to PCs and as such will never be good on a console.
