It looks absolutely stunning, but can I recommend raising and lower part of the edges around the removed section. This would give a much more realistic 'rough cut' effect.

Might just do that... I removed that section using a dremmel with a sanding bit. It may take a trip to the hardware store to complete.

My other thought was to strip a CAT-6 Ethernet cable and use it's shielding as a liner around the interior of the cut. Thoughts?

To answer in order:

-These two projects have just been for fun. This one had RRoD when I picked it up (which I fixed), so there wouldn't be a major loss if something went wrong.

-I have, in the past, modded other peoples' consoles in the sense of cooling/RRoD repair.

-Um, I don't have a store set up yet (sadly), but feel free to PM me to work something out?

2 words...DO WANT!I would pay good money for something custom like that even though I didn't really like Half-Life that thing is just awesome,the only thing that I didn't really like is the little disk drive cut through the case if it was raised above or something like that it would be even better but still its pretty sweet.

I might just use some plexiglass to cover the hole, or build an air dust/fan onto it. Not sure yet... Could you describe what you'd like to see in a bit more detail? Thanks!

KOTOR... That could be interesting. My girl loves that game, so I'd have an easy source of input during the design process.

Right now it seems the demands have come down to:
Portal (given the poll, obviously), Dragon Age, and Konami - now if only I could find the funds/parts to make enough of them >_>

The RRoD is indeed fixed, no chance of recurring. We've done a 24-hour burn-in (left it on all day and night), giving the new thermal grease a chance to settle. Given my previous work on RRoD consoles, I'd say its out of the woods at this point.

I think a portal 360. Oh, it would be even cooler if when you turn it on, the 360 symbol goes through portals, and if the eject button opened a portal on top you put your disc in, and if i talked like GLaDoS. I would buy that.

Heh, hope you're right =P $1000 would be awesome right now for these projects.

I just put in an order for four XBOX 360 arcades with HDMI ports, so hopefully those will be in this week - those will be the next canvases (found an awesome deal here, locally). If you know someone who might want one of these, spread the word! It'll help fund future projects!
