I am getting an Xbox 360; I was originally thinking of just getting a 20GB but after reading a few things on the internet, I feel it would be safer purchase if I got the 60GB. Should I get the 60 or just save some money and just get a 20?
It's probably safer still if you get the 250GB slim, but they're expensive...
If you're buying used on ebay or something, you can probably get a 60GB one for the same price as a 20GB. Do that, if possible. Xbox hard drives are crazy expensive for some reason.
I got the 20GB one, and that lasted me about two years, then I finally had to get a bigger one. However, I didn't install games to the hard drive, and I didn't download a whole lot of XBLA games or stuff like that. So it really depends on how much you're gonna be downloading.
None of the above. I don't know where you're even finding new 20GB consoles as those were discontinued so long ago. 60GB has been discontinued too, so I'm not even sure where you're finding that new either.
You should be looking at the 360 S which come in either the 4GB arcade model for $200 or the 250GB model for $300. Those are the newest versions.
Bigger is better in this case. All depends on what games you're getting, I guess. You don't NEED to install games, but if you do, well... With Awakenings and the DLC, Dragon Age: Origins takes up a bit more than half of a 20. And I don't think L.A. Noire would even fit...
I would say it depends on how much you play/think you'll play and how much you may invest into it. I would personally buy one with a lot of money like the 250 because if you're up for getting alot of games and dlc among other things memory seems to just disappear. For example, I bought a 120 gb xbox about 2 and a half years ago and I have used about 50gb. I don't know how though so I must check. I would say get one with quite a bit of memory as it is sometimes better to have too much than not enough.
Also I would adive against buying used. You never know if it'll fail on you easily and with a new one you have a warranty for a while. Though it does depend on what you can afford.
