Do either of them encourage devs to support mouse controls in their games? No? Then I'm sticking with my PC.

Of the two: The Xbox One X is the obvious choice in terms of power, and 3rd Party Games will definitely look better on it, but in terms of games - as much as I love Halo - the PS4 is doing leaps and bounds better than the Xbox One.

Frankly, If I had to pick one or the other, I'd go for the PS4 Pro. The games wont look *quite* as good, but I'd rather play some of those amazing first party titles, than have a few more pixels.

I went with the PS4 Pro because it has games I want to play. Nothing else matters much.

However if you already have a regular PS4 then surely the smart choice would be the Xbox? I don't see how coughing up for the Pro just as an upgrade is worth it unless you have more money than you know what to do with.
I mean surely by the same logic it'd be pointless to cough up for Xbox One X given the vast majority of what I'd be playing on it will be available on PS4 anyway, and those that aren't on PS4 are pretty much guaranteed for Windows 10 on PC, which I have a gaming laptop for if I feel any of Microsoft's exclusives are 100% vitally necessary.

Yup.

If that's the case I have no idea why you're considering either. Seems like you're all set.

Want a more powerful console now they're available. Got a 4K TV, seems pointless to never have anything that actually uses that potential. And honestly despite having a gaming laptop that can run anything I've thrown at it so far, consoles are still my go-to for gaming due to the convenience. Maybe if my gaming laptop was still my everyday laptop, but that's not the case any more.

Plus I just like buying new things. I have a problem in that regard.

Okay. Seems like I had this covered with the more-money-than-you-know-what-to-do-with guess.

So, umm... enjoy? Maybe get a Switch and a couple of VR systems as well to cover all your bases?
