I say, old boy, might want to use some punctuation in your posts next time.

Versus threads are also frowned upon in these parts.

*sips tea*

Quite.
Hear, hear..!

OT: Not only is it a versus thread, but it is greatly unbalanced... Welll if you read it the way I did! Xbox Vs PS3 Vs NES Vs PC... they are all different generations of consoles!!

It's like comparing the iPhone to the Nokia 3330!?

Quite right sir, indubitably!

OT: Its kind of hard to compare 2 consoles to a company and a computer.

Why not pick multiple?

If only one, then I pick PC, because I mostly play classics and indie.

PC gaming master race reporting in. It sure is nice not being a dirty console scrub! *throws a blanket over my PS3 and Xbox 360*

Playing digital games is so inferior to a good ol board game. Board games are much more interactive because you have to actually play with real flesh and blood people instead of over "the internet".

Why anyone would choose to play something like Mario or the Elder Scrolls is completely baffling to me when you could just play Risk or Life instead. The latter games obviously give a more fulfilling experience.

I use three of these systems on a weekly basis. (Hint, it's not the Xbox.)

So I just voted for the system that has my favorite game ever on it. Steambot Chronicles on the PlayStation2.

Edit: Realized the option was PS3 instead of just PS right before I voted. Changed to Nintendo because it has my second favorite game ever. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

In my experience Xbox is more fun and has the most reliable hardware. It could just be me but after blue-screening 50 times on my PC yet never having a single piece of hardware go wrong with the Xbox I am beginning to think the internet is lying to me for shits and giggles.
Xbox live is also easy to use and do stuff with friends on without downloading another 5 programs just to talk to your friends while playing a game with randoms.

Edit: Don't quote me giving me stories how your last 4 xbox's have died. Computers fail just as much.

It's somewhat pleasing to see that amidst all the animosity between diehard fans of each gaming platform, we can all band together against the greater enemy, poor grammar.

On a separate note...

You always use exclamation marks in your posts, played straight without any apparent irony. I find that refreshing :)

People as a rule dont hate on Nintendo, Hell this forum is actually fairly Nintendo friendly. However if you want something even more Nintendo friendly, go to gamefaqs. Ive not seen such an irrational adoration for all things Nintendo since like 1988.

But if you want to know why people hate? Endless regurgitation of the same properties and ideas. Granted nintendo does put out very solid and fun to play games, but that wheels got less tread on it than a 60 year old hooker.

As for choice? PC obviously. Why choose a console when you can have one peice of hardware that can play games, edit digital media like photos and video, browse the internet without cumbersome controls, do work, listen to music, and so much more.

This is the most boring "versus" thread ever. Where is my flame war? I almost feel obligated to start it myself...

Almost.

Why isn't there the "I like them all because I enjoy all kinds of games no matter what platform their for because I'm not some stupid fanboy who gets offended if you say something good about the console that isn't theirs" option?

All of the Above.

I don't care which system is better. I stopped caring when I turned 21 and I hope that all of you do the same thing. Being a gamer, I'm interested in the gaming experiences. I don't care which system I play the game on, as long as I play a game. That's all that should matter.

Every system has exclusives that I'm interested in playing. I don't pitch a hissy fit and complain about it. I go buy that game and play it on that system. If the game is released on multiple systems, I get it on the PS3, in most cases, but that's only because I'm used to the controls.

Funnily enough, the Americans I work with, when taking the mick out of my accent, will always use the word indubitably too! Is it a word that is associated with the UK to you?

:p

I was once told that I used exclaimation marks too much when writing in a social context; I now endeavor to finish a sentence as often as possible with an exclaimation, or something that cold be contrived as me talking excitedly... which I do... rather too often!

To be honest, I will admit that spelling and grammer are far beyond my regular means. I am not too bad whilst writing reports, but when typing, say, on here I tend to drop the batton a bit! I know I am not perfect, but I will always try and write coherently... that is the most I ask of others too! I just want to understand what I am reading!
