Ok, now the game kick my ass even in Normal....
I have a couple of questions:
- How I prevent the Dark Events taking place? I only manage stop one and I don't even know how I did it.
- How I get more power to built more facilities?
- It is important to use my days in Intel HQ?
- Was there a more easier way to kill
Codex? It Teleport and Cloned itself life f*cking Rabbit.
- Is it matter how I will built my facilities?

Thank you for your time.
1. When a Guerilla Ops mission comes up check it, many of them will note that they stop a Dark Event. Once you have more territory you will have to pick which ones to stop and which ones to deal with.
2. Build Power Generators. I believe ones on the old power cores that randomly get placed on the grid give more power. You can also staff them with Engineers for more as well.
3. Only if you have literally nothing else to do. Most other things take priority. If anything I bought the healing option and camped out after a dicey mission to get my vets back quick.
4. I haven't tried myself, but I hear Flashbangs do the trick. Disoriented enemies can't use their abilities so all it will do is shoot at you for a few turns, enough time to take it out.
5. Only as far as the aforementioned Power Generators and then Workshops go. With a Workshop you can staff the facilities above, below, and to the side with Gremlins that count as Engineers.

Thank you!!! The Flashbangs advice make sense.
Damn, so many tactics for those f*ckers Aliens. Even the Robots you need to grenade them to get rid of their Armor....

i realised yesterday that some alien can counter a sword slashing. i had my oldest soldier next to a Muton, i decided to slash it with the sword for the beauty of it. but it blocked the shot, and counter it mortally wounding the soldier. Damn it !

Also, i really like the new evac system. in on mission i had my veteran sniper kicked by several troups at the beggining of the map, i still had a long way to go, so i decided to evac him, just to be sure he stay alive.

Did somebody else think that there's a bug with the codex ? i get that when he get cloned each clone got half of the health. but when it's down to 1 hp, it can still clone, but the original vanish, and the clone can use teleport right away, so it's like it use twice the teleport in the same turn...

Erm, I've noticed it but I don't think it's a bug. As in, it seems to work exactly as intended - clone creates a copy splitting the original HP in two and the source codex rounds down it's health.

Now I wouldn't claim it's not cheap, though. It is, however exactly how the mechanic works in all other situations.

Ok...I think I am in my first Command Center Crash....wtf is this sh*t!
Do they really think I can kill TWO Berserkers at the same time while I fight 3-4 ARMORED Advents Troopers of any kind, a Muton and a Sectoid?
F*ck this sh*t, this game is brutal as f*ck yo.........YO!!!

But I see Firaxis plan already: They want to make the game so difficult so you do an IronMan Run.
I mean, it is futile to load every single time a save just to correct your mistakes....because in the end something else will f*ck you up.
Also the Loading times are still atrocious....
Haaaaaaaa........I need a break, then maybe I will do a IronMan Run on Rookie difficult.

Oh btw, I decided to change in my normal game to Rookie and still have this kind of difficulties.....

If you're springing that many aliens at once, you're either exceptionally unlucky or you're sprinting ahead too recklessly. Your scout/forward trooper should always move first, and always a blue move unless you're desperate to beat a timer. That way if you trigger a pod, you can fall back/position all your soldiers for the upcoming battle, rather than getting caught with your pants down.

Firaxis still haven't fixed the stealth + sniper exploit.
Missions that don't have a timer, such as Dark sites and transport raids can be cheesed. All it takes is a leveled ranger spotting from a safe distance and a sniper.

So, in one of the most bizarre of bugs undocumented features something, apparently you can skip the loading time when the Skyranger is returning from a mission. You can do it, and I swear I'm not making it up, you can do it by pressing Caps Lock.

Yes, you read that correctly. It also works.

Yeah, I read that today in Steam from a user. How is this possible? I thought the super duper game took it sweet time to load the base.

Nope, the f*ckers come to me because at the same time want to take over my Command Center...
I am literally three steps away from my base and they want to kill me HARD!

No clue. I'm really surprised, myself. I guess it's some dev shortcut or something that was used for testing and was left in. Exactly what it does - I do not know. It might be cutting out the loading of staff in rooms or actually moving the loading of some assets to a background thread. Or something. Or maybe that screen just has a timer for which it stays on, and Caps Lock bypasses the timer.

Protip: Grenadiers are fucking amazing. In EU I hated Heavies, so I rarely took them. I assumed it was going to be the same with Grenadiers. Nope. Take the skills that increase grenade damage/radius, extra grenades, and shoot more than once(this last one is actually not necessary, but it never hurts to go overboard). Then grab some acid grenades. As you're playing, you might start hitting a snag when you get the beefier enemies with armor and bigger HP pools. Grenadiers with acid grenades solve them. Wrecks their armor, takes a nice chunk out of their HP...and then takes another chunk out of their HP again at the beginning of the Alien turn(acid burns + increases damage taken). My grenadier has been single handedly wiping out entire pods by herself in a single turn, even outside of concealment because her blast radius is big enough to catch everyone.

I have yet to pack plasma grenades though. I know plasma does more initial damage, but I think the initial damage + first turn burn damage of acid outdoes it.

Oh the base raid.

Yeah there's a ton of enemies on that.

Acid grenades are fantastic, but there's at least one heavily armored enemy immune to the effect, so don't over rely on them. There's no replacement for a good old plasma grenade, especially at blowing out floors/walls. Except perhaps the blaster launcher.

Yeah, I found those guys right after I made that statement. Then a few missions later I ran into chryssalids. Thank god for acid. But I just finished my first plasma grenade, so I'm going to take it for a test drive.

How many hours did you clock if I may ask?
I have plans to begin again after Firaxis fix somethings with a patch.

I clocked 13 Hours and I don't even encountered the half Alien Races in my game. Sure, I killed Codex early cause I am badass I guess [before I ask for the tip how to kill his bastard], but I don't even built a new armor for my guys!!!!
Wtf f*ck I am doing?
