Here's a quickie. Your an Escapist so you probably know and have seen all of Yahtzee's reviews at least 3 times. Now that we have that out of the way let's talk about Movie Bob aka the Game Overthinker. In my opinion, Bob and Ben are the best at what they do. In fact Bob claims that when it comes to reviewing video games, Yahtzee is the best there is.

We've seen Yahtzee do a stint on Unskippable with Graham and Paul which received a lot of positive feedback. Then the guys from Unskippable tried a stint on Zero Punctuation.

Side note: Many comments concerning Paul and Graham's Zero Punctuation review received some of the most dickhead comments I've seen in awhile here. I think Graham and Paul did an excellent job in reviewing 'X-Blades' and they did an excellent job reiterating the fact that Japanese-style games are not something Yahtzee enjoys whatsoever. People need to grow the hell up. Anyway.

What do you think would be a good crossover idea for Zero Punctuation. I would like to see a Game Overthinker AND a Zero Punctuation show crossover. Anyway that's my idea. Do you have any ideas?

Wait, Grahams ZP bit was great. He followed the ZP-formula perfect: Talk really fast and have hilarious one-liners to a yellow background.

I thought Yahtzee's visit to them was worse than Grahams ZP-visit.

And no, I don't think a crossover would be good. I don't really find Yahtzee the kind of guy I'd want to be making crossover. He doesn't seem to have the chemistry to make it work, unless of course there is a gentle side to him that he hasn't showed us yet.

I probably wouldn't work.

Besides the Game Overthinker is part of Screwattack, and ZP is part of the Escapist. They might need permission form them in order to do the crossover.

When has moviebob ever been known as "the game overthinker"?

This is before he became a contributor for the Escapists. His name says it all.

I can't find the freaking X-Blades review. Why did the Escapist take it down?

Pretty sure the X-Blades review was at the start of Halo Wars. If I remember right anyway.

It's the first half of the HALO Wars review. Yahtzee interrupts halfway through, so they posted it under what he reviewed.

Edit: Yes! Ninja'd someone else for a change.

This week, Zero Punctuation reviews Halo Wars [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/645-Halo-Wars] and Unskippable guest reviews X-Blades. See Yahtzee's crossover appearance in Unskippable: Star Ocean [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unskippable/644-Star-Ocean-The-Last-Hope].

No, no, no.

Game Ovethinker is a fantastic vid on its own, I much prefer it to ZP because all the sarcastic humour has a context.

Game Ovethinker - South Park
Zerp Punctuation - Family Guy

Please don't use that worthless comparison of South Park and Family Guy.

Game Overthinker-Clever, well written, and surprisingly complex.
Zero Punctuation-Clever, grammatically pleasing, and entertaining.

Both men provide facts to back up their reasons and also keep rather humorous 98% of the time.

I have no patience for comparing the comedy of the mediocre Family Guy and the boring pretentiousness of South Park to compare to men that deserve a higher pay than what they are currently receiving.

Actually no, Movie Bob (Game Overthinker) is only a contributor to the site. The GO has his own website, just like Yahtzee has his own website.

Easy on the agro there, Shirley.

I don't really care what you have or have not got patience for.

My point was that it's another two things that get compared to eachother when in reality they are very different and would not work together, as said on the show.

Climb off your high horse, talk to a few people on the Escapist and you might find out that most of them are a bit tired of Yahtzee-adoration threads.

MovieBob makes a specific point of not reviewing stuff on G.O because of how much he likes Yahtzee. I think they both do fantastic work alone and a crossover would just be excessive. It's subtle but their styles are actually fairly different.

How's the view up there on your high horse?

Y'know if you said "Surely, you can go easy on the agro there." I would have had the pleasure to quote the line from Airplane. "I'm not agro and don't call me Shirley." Ah well.

Anyway, perhaps I wasn't clear. I'm not enthralled by Zero Punctuation rather I am only interested in hearing about the game reviews not Yahtzee himself.

You see, I'm gonna make a safe assumption and say you are a fan of the Game Overthinker. I, too am a fan. In fact I am always curious as to when Bob will post his 30th Game Overthinker episode, but lately there has been no such luck.

However I do see where I was wrong when I was angry with you. I got a little aggravated when you made the comparison to Family Guy and South Park. I will make this perfectly clear. Even on their worst days the Game Overthinker and Yahtzee are exponentially funnier and clever then either of those shows. The Game Overthinker however is superior because even though Yahtzee is enjoyable to listen to during his rambles, the GO is most certainly the one you listen to in order to hear an in-depth analysis that is clever, informative, and humorous.

Cheers
