mind you i just thought would yatzee (i probs jus spelt that wrong sorry) have a good enough pc to run crysis (he may or may not im not judging lol) one thing that has annoyed me is people giving crysis bad reviews because of the system specs needed - to me thats a valid point which effects gamers..but it means its not game being reviewed and i dont belive its final score should be brought down due to it as i want the reviewers opinion on the game itself not there annoyance at needing to fork out for more hardware.boundries need to be pushed and i had to buy a whole new pc for far cry and hl2 as did many people i know but that didnt make them bad games.Lightbulb said:Since he said that Peggle was thrown onto his desk to review i don't believe he chooses anyway...
However there really is no contest. Since his are the only reviews i actually agree with these days i'd like him to cover Crysis.
lol i didnt mean any conflicts to arise via starting this thread, and i do think he should do whatever review he wants and i dont demand he does one every week or ever, i merley wanted to see what otheres opinions where on what they HOPED for to see if anyone had simlar views to my own.rawlight said:I don't feel entitled to anything. If he wants to go on vacation or just take a break for a week/month/year that's totally up to him. I'm not going to get angry if he tries something different either (morris dancing perhaps).
My point is that what makes him entertaining to read/listen to is his attitude. Why did he go to Valve? Because they liked what he wrote about them and they invited him. Now, his review of the Orange Box was fair and honest, so I'm not faulting that or anything. But, the problem is that as he gets more popular, more studios will want that kind of attention. Do you think that Richard Garriot sent Yahtzee anything for his review of Tabula Rasa? Other than the box of scorpions I mean.
I am merely saying that this can create a conflict of interests. I'm not questioning Yahtzee's integrity, but the power of the pork is strong indeed. YOU WERE WARNED!
yes sorry about the whole typing situation, my bad keyboard is no real excuse for it.xbeaker said:Jimmy, please use some punctuation. Even if you are using an old machine I can see that your shift key still works.
In any case I generally don't care what he reviews. I don't think it will be Mass Effect because it is a pretty long game and he only has a week to do these things. But maybe his time off will give him time to get at it. I would say there is a pretty good shot at him giving Crysis the business.
Of course in about 3 hours we will know either way.
i dont see it as advising anyone i just find it intresting to see others opinions or wishes i didnt know much/was not intrested in mass effect, now however after looking at the poll and reading peoples opinions i am.Geoffrey42 said:1 vote for not starting these conversations anymore: not in separate threads or during the inevitably 500 post response to a new Zero Punctuation.
You've liked what he's done so far, and he didn't need your input for that. Why assume that he needs it now?
Were our wonderful benefactors at the Escapist (Yahtzee or anyone else) to ask for suggestions, I'm all for it. Otherwise, why waste all the time with this silly thread?
