Poll: Yoshi is a...

My girlfriend and I was having a silly argument debating whether Yoshi is a Dinosaur or a turtle. I've known Yoshi all my life and I know that is not a turtle... However I'm not aloud to disagree (sadface lol). So please make my day by telling us all what he really is.

but, i lean more toward the Dragon side.

its Dragon coins in Super Mario World(they have a yoshi on them) and in brawl he sprouts wing and gets the ability to shoot and breath fire.
